Damn Brent, I thought you'd have blown up that engine by now. I guess I built her pretty decently. I'm just glad to see she's still kickin.

So did that new clutch unlock some more power on the high end? It always slipped at around 6.5K rpms even though it was rated for 340 ft-lbs.

oh ya, pics or gtfo

Bought it from maxdatrix... dont recall any specific markings or labels, generic I suppose, but if they sell it, I trust it. Here is the link.

haha its hard to describe the difference between our cars, yours seems to handle much nicer, but isnt as powerful. Your interior is mint... mine is.. well red ... for now.. I love a little friendly competition. You better be coming to the dyno with me in the spring.

Haha thanks Mike. I still need to shave a little off the side of it but I enjoyed getting the perfect bends in it... it is actually bent arouns the back of the intercooler, L style, to secure it some more... so it serves as two purposes.

Hey Brent wanna see what replaced the rx7?

You couldn't get anything more different from the 7: this car literally weighs TWICE as much but it still drifts like a champ.

You'd rape me

Hey I've been meaning to ask you, how are the rear wheel wells doing, rust-wise? I always wondered if my repair job would hold up, and knowing whether it does will determine if I do it again in the future!

inside or on the quarters??? I noticed some body work on the pass side at the back a little when I painted it... and some on the roof... but like I said I did mad prep work when I painted.... so if it was on the outside of the car... I doubt ill see it anytime soon..

Little update.

I have everything I need to complete the interior swap to black except for headliner and sunroof liner, as well as the plastics

Racing beat Oil Pressure and temp sensor adapter is in the mail, as well as carbon fiber center console. I am also going with redlinegood leather for shift boot, e brake boot and armrest cover.... as well as the entire door panel being custom fitted by them... I am sending himn my door panel this week to use as a prototype for our cars, so in the future we will alll be able to have this product, but ill be the first

Im also dealing with someone local for an OEM t2 style carbon fiber hood... damn im anxious to get this fc done the way I want it.

for this swap would it be harder to go single turbo, or easier than setting up the sequential?

I bet they are about the same build wise. Tuning wise sequential twin is harder to tune then singal. But I'm not much of a tuner yet. Just learning on a good base map that it was sold to me with. I'm looking to meet someone local to teach me the ins and outs of tuning the power fc with datalogit.. I'm sure I can inderstand it no matter how complex with a good teacher.

All you have to do is read this forum enoguh and it will tell you, and you will learn so much. But basics being manifold, turbo, downpipe, boost controller, MAP depending how much boost you want to push, ECU standalone, a lot. Minimun 5 to 7 grand in parts when all is said and done....and patience, most importantly, you need to be able to not rush the job, and really understand what you are doing before you go and do it. I dont think I will ever go single turbo on this, Im hopiong to upgrade the twins I have now for some bnr`s or 99 spec.

But keep in mind I never did this swap, the previous owner did, Im just learning from what he did by reading his notes and forum posts, there are much better and more knowledgable people on this forum that can tell you a lot more then I can.
