13B motor swap

I own a 86 normally aspirated RX7 (North American). I was looking online for motors and I found a site that sells jspec motors. I called and asked if they could get a 13B for my car and they said they have 87 13B turbo motors that will work if I get the ecu.
My question is does anyone know if this is true? Can I use a Japanese 87 13B turbo motor in a 86 NA rx7.
Will it require mods?
And do I need a Japanese ecu?

Someone please help. I would appreciate any responses.

Thanks, Ed

The short answer, no.

To do this, it is called a turbo conversion. Doa search for spefcifics here onthe forum for turbo conversion. IT is alot of work. You need the wiring harness complete, boost sensor, knock sensor, ecu, trans., starter, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, rearend and halfshafts. IT could be made to wor with your drivetrain though. The biggest problem is those electronics are hard to get from japan. You can get it all off a US spec turbo 2 though.
As a mattter of fact, I have 2 that Im parting out as turbo conversions.
