13b gsl-se flywheel with s4 engine?

Hi guys,

i tried searching, but could not find the answer to this question.

i'm in urgent need of a flywheel, i ordered one from a guy on this forum, but it's been 3 weeks and every time i contact him, i have no idea what is going on at all, in the meantime i have a flywheeless engine waiting to be put in.

I have read on this forum that a 13b gsl-se engine is identical to that of a s4 except for the intake. Is this true, if so can i use an fb flywheel on my s4 engine?

If i take a s5 flywheel and counterweights can i use them on an s4 engine?

need a quick answer to know what to do.

Thanks in advance

I do not know about the GSL-SE flywheel, although if memory serves it also uses the 10lb rotors so it may work(but dont trust that).

No even if you used the front counter weight AND flywheel from a S5 it would NOT I repeat not work, because those counter weights are for the lighter 9lb series 5 and later rotors.

Thanks,

yeah i figured that much about s5, but just wanted to be 100% sure, same with the gsl-se issue.

I tried to find the information to verify my thoughts about the gsl-se flywheel, but can't seem to locate it anywhere.

Thanks

The quick answer is that the GSL-SE flywheel will not balance correctly on the S4 engine.

That the last thing i want to do

But as you know, i ordered a flywheel before i came to pick up the engine, i contacted the guy a week after, he tells me he will ship it on a weekend, i contact him a week after that, here is what he tells me .. "Hey how much would if cost you to get a new flywheel with shipping... email me back its quicker" I email him telling him that he told me it was 48$ shipped, that is what i paid him, that what i want it to cost. Haven't heard from him since, it's been a week, filed a dispute with paypal, will escalate it this weekend if he does not respond till then.

But if i order another flywheel and he ships me his, what am i supposed to do with two of them? GRRRR.
