Heres a dyno graph of my stock port/carbed 12a with a automatic. Still using the stock exhuast too. I did adjust the timing, put some 1600cc primarys in it, and did some weight reduction.https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...postid=1867725 I'll post some time sheets tonight.

BTW: I'm also using a secret oil, that only Rob@Pineapple makes. Along with my B16EGV spark plugs....;)

The better question would be, what carbed motor uses injectors?

;)

bingoboy 08-09-03 08:44 PM

please continue guys, this stuff is entertaining :D

J-Rat 08-09-03 10:11 PM

I dunno, I think this has gone on long enough..

88IntegraLS 08-09-03 10:15 PM

But really, this forum is so dull sometimes. No one really does anything much here. We need the BS to liven up this place.

Roy James 08-09-03 11:08 PM

Yeah those 1600CC injectors on the carb really helped the HP numbers along with the weightreduction. I once took my car down to the bare frame (a task in itself) and with a stock motor on stock EFI after i put my holley carb on the exhaust (makes kinda like a turbo effect) it did 660HP on the dyno, before the weight reduction. After the weight reduction its my clubs secret but ill tell you its in the four digits. LMFAO...

its not that hard to post time slips. and it would put this debate to an end.

"time slip"

:)

Josepi 08-10-03 12:22 AM

Sooo uh yea...

I ran a 11.394@117 on stock ports using a tornado air intake.

version13 08-10-03 01:22 AM

Haha, I was going to PM this guy to tell him to do just that. Kinda pointless, the timeslip scan.

i'd like to see a stock port 12a keep making power above 8500 rpms like this one does... must be those 1600cc fuel injectors combined with the carburator.

bingoboy 08-10-03 07:30 AM

1600cc injectors on an NA 13b? you'd have to like bore and stroke it to 3 liters for that to work. with that much fuel though...imagine the flames...you'd get some military grade flamethrowing going on.

9's on just my front 3 rotors. rotor 4 was blown! car was running the 11 apex seal mod....

Black13B 08-10-03 12:40 PM

Wow - Whoever had that .715 reaction time has a really bad reaction!

If you picked up 8/10th's in the 60ft you should run nearly a second and a half faster, especially in a 13 second car.
IF the race weight (w/ driver and fuel) is right at or under 2k lbs, you might be able to make that ET on perfect pass in perfect weather, but the MPH is still too high for the HP a stock port motor makes-

zjbarra 08-10-03 03:16 PM

Maybe it was a downhill track?

zjbarra 08-10-03 04:07 PM

that will make a NA Second gen run 13's

pp13bnos 08-10-03 10:15 PM

Yeah guys, the 1600cc realy work great. Tobad you need 2 per rotor to get the thing to run right. Otherwise it just goes way to lean. Something else I forgot to tell you guys, I have a ACME missle strapped to the top of my car. And it did pass NHRA tech inspection. (something the coyote would try to catch the road runner. :D)

Seriously/please, though, post some pictures of the car, and take a video of a run with it. Then all the trash talkers (including me) will have to eat some nice crow.

Trust me....we all want to beleive that a S4/stock port, no forced induction will run in the 13s.....but we just need alot more proof, becuase none to my knowledge have done it. Please show me up. CJ

Bebesito21 08-10-03 10:31 PM

He says he's got stock lots of things. Stock clutch wouldnt hold up. Stock differential on an N/A wouldnt help unless it was a GTU diff. Ive seen the car. Its stripped but it isnt a stock port. Its a street port. I heard it, he admitted to it. Apex Gt exhaust. Prolly has headers. Might be spraying now, i dont know. But he's full of crap.
