13.57 stock port S4.

Just did it. 1988 SE All stock port, RB header, Cone filter, weight reductions, and 14" slicks, got me a 13.57 @ 102 MPH and 8.5 in the 1/8 mile. 60 FT times were 1.8.

Just passing along the good news.

PS: the slicks gave me 1 full second faster. prevoius runs without were 14.58 @ 94 MPH and spinning first and second and pull 2.6 60 ft times....,

rotarygod 08-08-03 03:09 PM

How much weight reduction? I'm not going to be a prick about this but others may cry bs. It would be wise to post your timeslip.

gsracer 08-08-03 03:09 PM

How the hell did you manage to get the trap to jump 8 mph. If you trap 102 on slicks you should be trapping even higher on street tires. You should tell the track their timing system is off....

GLHS 08-08-03 03:12 PM

Haters..geezs

Its all good... I know I have the fastest N/A in the 3 counties around me. Plus we have a large RX7 club and they have helped make the car this nice.

gsracer 08-08-03 03:15 PM

Not ''hating'', it's hard to debate physics.

SonicRaT 08-08-03 03:16 PM

You'd need a 2000lb car to do it with what you've said for mods.

GLHS 08-08-03 03:21 PM

Yes more mods.. but stock ports. stock clutch..etc on slicks...weight reduction was the key factor, getting it to weight under 2000.

SonicRaT 08-08-03 03:23 PM

And of course you're not going to specify how you got it that light, right?

gsracer 08-08-03 03:54 PM

How exactly did you manage to lose 700 pounds

wpgrexx 08-08-03 03:55 PM

I am very interested as well as to what weight reductions you did. My car is pretty stripped, but there is no way Im close to 700 lbs

jacobcartmill 08-08-03 03:56 PM

ok GLHS how about you scan us a timeslip? i'd like to believe you.

1987RX7guy 08-08-03 04:06 PM

Dude honestly you need to post the timeslip ASAP or your full of crap.

Relisys190 08-08-03 04:11 PM

i second you Santiago... i mean i've heard of 13's for n/a's but...

"Way to go anyhow"

Aaron Cake 08-08-03 04:14 PM

OK. We all agree that he needs to post proof. Please no more "post your timeslips replies".

Needless to say, a timeslip can lie. I have one that says my NA ran 12s, so timing mistakes happen. Repeatable runs are required.

GLHS 08-08-03 04:15 PM

Part of clubs rules are I can not release any information given to me by the car club, they have over 10 years into developing parts and setups that work. Unless your a member..

What else can I say... it has a sealed cold air box that makes 3 psi @ 70 mph in the box.........

1987RX7guy 08-08-03 04:17 PM

GLHS- Your full of crap now. Instead of capitolizing on their parts design a club is making it stay secret!?!?!?!?!?

You get the BS from me.

Oh and a Time Slip is not part of your mods so post it!

That's impossible.

GLHS 08-08-03 04:22 PM

Peace out...

Guess this idiot declined to read the Ram Air article before he goes and makes up a story? ;)

Aaron Cake 08-08-03 04:28 PM

Please, no flaming. I have just edited GLHS post to remove the flame.

1987RX7guy 08-08-03 04:32 PM

I think people should be able to get banned for intentionally lying and making up stuff.

Untill GLHS gets a timeslip or a a vid of his car its all BS.

GLHS 08-08-03 04:35 PM

Sounds fine to me..... but what if its true?

GLHS 08-08-03 04:36 PM

I changed my own post...and took the flame out...thanks for helping

Aaron Cake 08-08-03 04:36 PM

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

Repeatable runs on high quality video would be extraordinary proof.
