1 piston-4 piston caliper swap?

ok my rear brakes are grinding and my front pads are not far behind so i think its time to redo and rebuild my brake system, id like to use the turbo front calipers but i am unsure if there is anything else i need other then the 4 piston calipers?

will it matter s4 or s5 calipers?
do i need to run new lines?
will the single piston lines be long enough?

SEARCH! On a 5 lug car you can simply swap the front calipers, the rotors will fit and the brake lines fit if you don't use the short hard line from the caliper to the strut. I prefer this way of doing it in fact. The calipers are the same S4 to S5.

Your current master cylinder and booster will also work but you may find the pedal travel a bit long (master cylinder has to pump more fluid to the four pistons) and the feel not as crisp as you'd maybe expect.
The 4-piston calipers are mated with a larger cylinder from the factory (15/16") but I like a 1" MC even better.

ONLY on the S5 TII, the S4 and all NA's with those calipers get the standard 7/8" MC.

I stand corrected.
My opinion about the brake "feel" after the swap is valid though...I think.

I did the swap and I don't really think that I felt much difference, but I do really like my 1" 929 MC and booster combo though.
