What clutches are you using?

my car has mild upgrades and bigger turbines, and smokes the new(er) oem clutch horribly when shifting into 2nd at high rpms. therefore, a new, stronger clutch is in order. im wondering what clutch kits you guys are using, my car is my current daily driver and i want it to remain streetable, but still be able to stomp the occasional street racer at redlights. thanks.

I've got the ACT Street/Strip clutch disc and HD pressure plate. It clamps a bit harder than stock, and bites hard, and is very streetable. Pedal is slightly firmer as well...but not by much. SS braided clutch line should help with that, though.

act extreme pressure plate. . broke my clutch fork pivot. But is a great clutch. I would recomend it. The clutch fork pivoit retainer also broke, if that broke first that may have been the cause of the pivot failing. It is quit the clutch, has never even thought of slipping on me.

I've got the ACT Street/Strip clutch disc and HD pressure plate as well. Its a pretty good setup. I've recently heard alot about ACT clutch failures and broken forks. Though I haven't had any problems with my ACT setup I am going with an Exedy Hyper Twin for my new turbo setup.

Act extreme pressure plate with 6 puck disk. I haven't had any problems with mine yet. From what i have seen however, the clutch forks like to break because of the pressure plate being so stiff.

Clutchmasters stage 3. I don't know if they make them for the FC anymore, no listing on their site. I have no complaints.

I have a twin plate in the RX-7, so it is not very streetable, but all of my daily drivers over the years have had exedy stage 1 and 2's. Very good. My ZC CRX has a stage 1 and it drives like a stockie, until I let it out too fast off the line, and it will remind me it is not, in fact stock.
