I have a OS Giken Twin plate/disc clutch, and need to know something.

I need a longer rod/piston on the slave cylinder, but don't know exactly how much longer I need. I was gonna get an adjustable bolt to use as the rod/piston, but decided that would not work very well.

Can I just take out the rod/piston, stuff something in the slave cylinder, and put the rod/piston back on?

Ya, its just a metal rod that plus into a metal hole .. thingy... Leme see I got one in the garage I will take a pic right quick.
