heard a rumor that the later 2nd gen taillights (circle) could be installed on earlier 2nd gen lights with the horizontal taillights, the license plate holder and the right and left taillights are all one piece? and anyone know where to find ANY euro taillights for 2nd gens? i dont think they're made...cant find them anywhere

Your better off looking in a junk yard. I scored my 89 tail lights off a junked GCU. Most junkyard owner's don't know what they have.

 

1. Yes the taillights from 89-91s can be placed on 86-88s. You should make sure that you stay within body style however (coupe/coupe v. vert/vert).

2. 3 pieces I think. 2 lights and the plate holder.

3. Euro/altezzas/clear/etc. They don't make any as far as I know.

I went to a junk yard to try and get the S5 tail lights and the dude wanted $280. I was like.... um, no.

I ended up getting some later for about 205.

If i found altezzas on a 7 id remove them and put mine on for them. Then id go home and replace mine. No 7 should be humiliated with rice crap. ewwwww

 

i would get altezzas if they were smoked(dark grey) and not just shinny tin foil... they would look good IMO...

I've been looking for the S5 tail lights too -as well as hte mirrors.

And about the altezzas, it's up to people and their cars. Doesnt' matter what you like or dislike what they put on their car - their own opinion. I wouldn't do it if it were me though.

There is a reason I avoid all Japanese junk yards. They usually charge way to much. Of course, its hard to find an s5 in a wrecking yard.

Out of the all the yards in town, I have seen about 25 s4's amd 1 s5

Yes, and it is our opinion and/or choice to hate them. Really, Altezza lights look stupid on any car, even the Altezza. They just don't go with the rest of the car, and look completely out of place.

actaually SAC altezza is a car one of the first that had clear tail lights from the factory. then all the sudden everyone wanted them for the "euro" look

altezza is just a slang term for them just like NOS is for nitrious oxide

 

APC makes the damned things for virtually every car/truck/SUV/van known to man except the second generation RX-7, thank god. They leak, too, and some were recalled a while back as a fire hazard or something like that

 

what do you think the fc would like with skyline r31 r32 r33 lights. I have access to them and i'm thinking about it

I think that would look sick but i prefer the stock sleeper look myself. u get more races that way.

in my 4 door ford sho i get so many people wanting to race me, and i usally kick thier ***, but only becuse it looks like a 4 door family sedan from 1990.
