$750 for turbo II

I have an opportunity to buy a turbo 2 from a guy for $750. The car has 140k on the clock but the guy assured me that the engine is fine. He said that the car hadn't ran in 2 1/2 years due to bad injectors. He said he started at the gas tank and start replacing everything until he got to the injectors. He ran out of money and since hasn't had any desire to get them replaced.

I know its not good to let a rotary sit for a long time, but this sounds like a good deal. The car has some rust around the mufflers, and it has a small crack in the front. He didn't have the key on him cause I just kinda walked by and talked to him, but he said that everything electrical worked. From what I could see, the interior looked mint. Anyways my question is this.......SHOULD I BUY THIS CAR AND GET IT RUNNING AGAIN? ~OR~ SHOULD I BUY THIS CAR AND PART IT OUT? ~OR~ WALK AWAY?

Thanks

You could probably make $750 on the hood and interior alone, not to mention tires, and everything else. I say take it, and get it working, or get $ out of it.

anything I should be weary about trying to get the thing working again? Its a 87 TII since I didn't mention it before. It seems as if the car would at least try to start up, sputter, etc even with clogged injectors. I don't know much about fuel systems so any help here would be nice. Thanks.

i got a 700 tii... it had sat for years..

it tuned out to have bad injectors in it. now its my daily driver

if that engine has 140k then i dont know if it will be like mine. mine had a 22k mile motor from another car put in it. the motor had high imp injectors and my ecu is low imp. i put mmo in it for 48 hours and the compression is 100 in both rotors.

ya never know.
