$400-$500 upgrade help.

I recently picked up a nice 87 RX-7 n/a with only 68,000 miles on it, and now I want to gain some HP. I am looking to spend around 4-5 hundred on upgrades. What will give me the most HP ? I heard exhaust, and head cams will help tons. Is this true ? Which ones are the best ? Any other suggestions are good too. Thanks guys.

head cams.....yeah I think that would be the best. I think they sell a head gasket set that increases your hp by something like 50hp. You may want to look into that. Also a good cam would also be good!!!!!!!!!!!! that will get you mad quick yo!!!!11!!11!!!!!!1!!

Yea..you know, the ones right on top of the cylinder head and beside the timing belt... Also make sure you do a valve job and replace the lifters...

Now that thats over with...are you joking? Because rotary engines dont have any cams, valves, pistons...or any of that unnecessary stuff..
