$2 Front lip project mounted. (pics!)

I snagged this lip off a 93-ish Protege at the wrecker's and it came out pretty decent.

It's a two part with a split in the middle so I joined the two halves, put some fiberglass cloth down to keep them together and filled in the curb rash spots. I then painted it with some of the low-gloss ceremic heat paint and it's resisting chipping pretty well so far.

The mounting was cake. I just drilled holes though the lip and into the buper while it was held up by masking tape and drove some fat sheet metal screws through. I then went along the back with some construction adhesive and it doesn't wobble or have any gaps.

I just visited a u-pull yard looking for a few little things like relays and such and thought I'd give this lip a try.

Looks good. My '87 Sport lip is a bit beat up. Might have to give the Protege or 626 lip a try.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. It really does make it look so much more pissed off. Now I just need to finish the rest of my body work and find some aero flares.
