I just got a 87 turbo with 125,000 on it what would I have to do to get 250+ hp out of it what is the best way to go? port it , or bigger turbo, what can I hope to get with a high flow exhaust and cone air filter

you can get around 250 hp with stock turbo, but not RELAIBLE power. the best way is with bigger turbo, haltech, big intercooler, full intake and exhaust, and supporting fuel mods of course. check my sig. what i got is good for i guess around 225 at the wheels. my car is pretty quick. i have no probs takin down light mod F-bodies, mustangs, and C4s

I'd rebuild the engine first.&nbsp Turbo FC engines over 100k have very thin apex seals.&nbsp You might be safe, but increases of power would be enough to strain the thinning apex seals to crack and collapse.&nbsp Ask vosko about his engine...

Lol, I was JUST about to say... Talk to Vosko about modding your aging TII. Are we talking 250 bhp or rwhp? I think 250 bhp is very doable on the stock turbo, and pretty reliable too. Either way, porting the motor would be overkill imho.
