Well my day was lame. Anybody else? Worked, then school, and then sat around the house. Uneventful to say the least. Then my brother wakes me up at 2:30am to this :

Looks like some ******* thought my cd player was nicer than his, or maybe he had a few too many beers and just wanted to borrow it. Car was parked literally right in front of my house. .

I'm pretty disappointed/ angry. Crazy thing is the cd player was hardwired so they really had to rip it out, and I had at least 150 cds in the hatch that weren't touched. I'm just thankful my car is still here period. Oh yeah and now its raining...... Sorry for the rant, never had my car broken into before. Anybody have a driver window for cheap?

I totally feel your pain dude. Same thing happened to last year. Worst part was I had literally had the dash out and everything fixing a tiny leak and had cleaned everything with soap and water only to have glass go EVERYwhere.

 

^Damn that does suck. **** happens there really isn't much you can do about it aside from getting an alarm, which I'm looking into now.

Oh yeah did I mention the forecast calls for 2 inches of rain in the next two days. I hope these bags do their job. Haha the cop asked if they screwed up my dash, and I looked at my broken radio surround and said just a little bit.

 

Im sorry about that man- for real....I hate people that steal, on some real ****- I really hate people that steal- as if we dont have enough problems with our cars, now you gotta deal with gettin a new window and radio!

Some *** broke into my 240 while it was parked basically IN FRONT of my old job. I had an Eclipse CD-7100, and the theif attempted to steal it, but actually only taking the faceplate and destroying the rest of the radio in the process. Eclipse offers theft replacement within a year after you purchased the radio, I had the radio for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, since the entire radio wasn't entirely stolen, they won't replace it. Even if I could get a new faceplate, the rest of the radio is completely toasted. This is why you never spend $400 on a radio. I learned my lesson. Oh, they also took my Gameboy Advance. I was not pleased.

 

Thieves never are the smartest, and yeah my car was 3 feet from my house. Anybody else got pics of their unfortunate instances?

i feel your pain, my old crx was broken into 3-4 times, stolen once and sandwiched between two cars from getting rear ended. sometimes i wish they could just take their time and not damage **** while stealing. hell if you want it that bad i'll leave the door unlocked so you don't break the window.

But to the OP that sucks. I know oneday my car/s will get broken into. Prob by some dumb kids at my school who think it would be funny...Or ill just be in atlanta too long.. lol

 

Friend got his CD player stolen at school, luckily they found the guys who did it, they stole ALOT of **** from different people. Friend still hasnt gotten any money yet, damn thieving poor kids.

But looking at these stories, it could've been a lot worse! Just be glad it was the radio at least you find a new one of those cheap!... That window...? Not sure where you can find a new one of those...

Thanks for the support guys. I really did get off lucky I could have got completely screwed like phoenix7. It was a nice head unit but it was free so easy come easy go. I was worried about the window though because all the junkyards around here crushed everything older than 1990 (Might have had some s5s but I doubt it). Posted on ohiorotaries.com though and a guy helped me out. Sold me a window for 40 bucks, and look it came with theft deterrent!



Think it will stop them next time? Only problem is I bought it earlier tonight and now that I look at it I think it has a little bit of a blue tint. O well looks like Ill just have to get them all 30% sometime soon. Thanks again guys.
