updated pics
i'm not very good with a camera but these came out ok. tell me what you think! i should have my wheels going on pretty soon, just need tires for them.

i have tried in the past to get some good pics of my wideband but either a) the flash makes it look like nothing is lit up or b) i don't use the flash and everything is really blurry.

i covered up the flash on this last one so that it wouldn't be blurry, but it's really dark

ok that's all for now. feels great to have the car back out on the road now.

I googled those and they look sick, definitely want to see pictures. I need to get some wheels, just can't decide on a set. I'd either do 16s or 17s...

My 10thAE in restoration:
About a two weeks ago, before clear coating:

after 3 layers of hand rubbed Ultra clear Urethane:

Tape and paper off, starting to put it all back together,
Door handle back in with new handle gasket

And just about 15 minutes ago (starting to be re-assembled):

all the windows that were the OEM Mazda clear or Mazda OEM blue tinted have been replaced with the proper factory bronze tinted glass,
Mind you it had no interior or engine or anything at all when I painted it

Icemark, when you say restoration, you mean full factory? did you make sure to include the factory over spray on the bottom side for that fresh from the factory look?
I picked the 10thAE up on ebay for less than what it cost to register it. But it has been sitting in my garage, while I rebuild the motor and gather up parts for it.
When I got it, it was in very very sad condition. The 10thAE paint always sucked, but the previous owners had sanded down some of it, then primered with rattle can primer, then let it rust; so it was even worse. 90% of the drivetrain was missing, and a good 75% of the interior was missing or just wrong (like it had a grey B pillars and roof- but the sunroof panel headliner was still black). The front fenders had so much bondo in them that they cracked when I first removed them and dumped them in the garbage can.
So it got new fenders, almost all the bondo is gone (except for a little filling in some minor door dings and some minor damage that the last owners did to the rear passengers side when they were trying to fill in the holes for the emblems).
The majority of the paint was removed down to metal on the body, then I used an etching primer and finished working on dings and minor dents. Then filler primer was used. Sanded, and sprayed again, sanded; then finally two part sealing primer was used.
Then I repainted the car with three coats of Crystal white, but I mixed in a little white phosphorus glow powder in the paint. So at night the car just has this slight white glow about it. If you get up close and look at it in the dark (or near dark), it looks like the paint has a million tiny stars in it at night.
I know that isn't factory, but neither is clear coat on that paint. And I wanted the paint to last the rest of the life of the car (unlike the Mazda factory painted Crystal White cars).
Then finally I painted it with three coats of 2 part clear urethane paint and hand wet sanded the whole car down then buffed and polished it.
Now it is starting to go back together.
And yes just like all FC's there is some factory style overspray on the bottom of the car. But I even sprayed new texture coat on the lower section of the new front fenders and re-coated the texture coat to the side body/doors and rear fenders sections before I painted so that it all matches.
