Okay, then you DEFINITELY HAVE TO HAVE THAT CROSS BAR IN THE MAIN HOOP!!! where it connects to the top, you need to put that point by where your head is and it has to be 1 piece, not cut.
Nasa and SCCA REQUIRE it. I had to re-do mine because of that too. Check into the rules about your rear bars, but you most definitely have to have that cross bar in the main hoop. It's part of a standard roll bar and it also reinforces the harness bar.
Whoever is doing your cage better read these rules and also look into the required thickness of the tubing used (you will also have to drill an inspection hole in the cage somewhere)
Don't **** around with your safety, read the rules, do it right so you don't have to cut it out.

thanks k!nch. I agree with you about the rear and when i repaint the car i should have plans drawn up by then. amber corner lights are now in and i am waiting for a headlight bushing so the lights sit level.
