as for as MPG's YOU CAN FIX IT i did a: msd 6al on the leading coil msd wires an ngk v-power spark plugs run 10w30 oil and APEXI SAFC corksport header relocated the s4 tps for the SAFC a wide band o2 an a good tune an i get 21 when i don't get on it all the time:



1200 can get you 21 MPG lol it will pay for it self i hope:lol:

60% of the time, it starts everytime.
oil cooler leaks
broken driver side door handle

wow i get like 23mpg with pretty much the same mods but redline it several times a day depending on my mood

I hate most aftermarket body kits for the FC, they do nothing for the looks of the car.


DTSS is annoying when it goes out. Rat belts and the fun at the dealership that ensues when getting them replaced. Having to have a VIN when I get parts at a dealer, not a FC thing just annoying.

There is not much I hate about the FC chassis. I think some of the owners should DIAF, and I dont like the OMG is that a 944.

My first gripe is with the electricals. They like to fail after a while.

Roof is too low. Even with a bride full bucket and rails, I can't fit inside with a helmet. I have to crack open the sunroof for any comfort.

Mostly, I hate when my friends ask me when I'm going to "get a new engine." Those morons just bandwagon every rotary stereotype lknown to man, while knowing jack shit about cars in the first place.

i dislike people that sell rx7s. both of the ones i have bought seemed perfectly reasonable when i got them. One even ran beautifully for 3 weeks and then blam it's replace motor time.

It also kills me all the people that want to turbo swap their NA's and buy a perfectly good t2 to swap it. Just leave the NA alone and mod the t2.

I hate the bashing i got from the non turbo second gen eclipse crowd. They called my car ugly and failboat. it was refered to today as "pottery" so i banned myself from the forum defending my car and how it pwns that gay ass neon motor fwd slug. They all say, "that's the ugliest rx7 body ever made and it's going to catch fire. You couldn't make it with a 4 cyl, you're not going to make it with a rotary." W/E 90 percent of all NON TURBO eclipse owners (even if they add a turbo later) are fucking wankers. The rest are old people, car people who like all performance machines (like myself) and girls. Fuck em. It's not a community i wanted to be a part of anyway. Non of them stopped by to help me. I've had 3, count em, 3 rotor heads come down to buy stuff and help out in less than 2 months time. I've only had my car for 3ish!

I hate not being able to go to my local autoparts store and buy stuff for it.

I hate that my FC is Honduh-boi bait. Seriously, why is it that every time I'm next to a Honda or Acura, -be it a clapped-out 80's Accord, fart-cannon-equipped Integra, or overstuffed Odyssey with six screaming crotchfruit in the back- I am revved at? Oh, you're soooo cool. :rolleyes: Pardon me for not revving back or racing you, but you're not worth my time or a moving violation ticket.

Not really a beef with the FC, but I hate that the weather has not cooperated with me at all when I want to work on it. When I have free time to work on my FC, it's raining. When I don't, its nice out. What gives?

I more worried than hateful that I need to replace the thermostat and oil pan gasket on an engine that was rebuilt fairly recently. I'm not seeing any other indications of engine trouble, but it does make me wonder...

I can deal with the rest, though.
Yeah, it has electrical issues, but it gives me an excuse to brush up on my soldering skills.
Sure, the interior plastics are cracking, but it's a 21 year-old car that was broken into by some crackhead. Interior parts aren't hard to find or replace around here.
OK, it needs a little TLC. But I was looking for an easy project when I bought it. I brought any problems it has on myself, so I'm going to roll up my sleeves and fix them.

I hate when people try to street race me when I don't shift until 4 or 5k rpm and think I'm revving at them...

Oh, another thing.

So I'm sitting at a gas station, right, and my car is idling. Problem is, I have a bad vacuum leak, so I hunt like a DSM. Gas station attendants ask me to stop revving.

People I'm next to at stop lights think I'm just rev-happy, and it's REALLY annoying when ricers start revving next to me because of my hunting idle..

I LOVE to rev at ricer-boys! Don't matter what I'm driving, even my old V-Dub or my moms Kia, I rev at 'em, and see them drive of like mad street racers in slow cars. I just cruise away from the light, usualy only to meet them at the next... Sometimes I go like: "Whoa! You beat me dude!" hehe... Makes me happy inside...

But this was the haters topic so: I HATE that my FC is so expensive to insure with my bad rep with insurance companies. It seems everyone want people my age driving 50HP cars or something, and they act like a FC is a supercar...

Insurance is cheap as hell on FCs. I pay $47 a month and I'm 23. I pay $30 a month for my '79 SA.

I'm in the Netherlands, and they're basicaly being GHEY to all people not driving Smarts...

about 100€/125$ a month, registered on me it would be about 150€/190$.

Other than the fact I have to fix the body damage on my car I really hate dealing with all the electrical gremlins. One day my gauges are working fine the next day my oil pressure gauge goes kaput. I don't mind paying some extra moooney for gas cause I love driving my car and she is worth it. As far as interior goes I could care less. Who cares if I don't have a radio it is not like I could hear anything over the engine anyways.
