I've never been the biggest fan of 'verts, but that is a damn nice looking car. Very clean and worlds ahead of the OT car; especially in the "all important style" department.

As for 400whp not being exciting? Lol, maybe if you DD a 600whp car. My 75hp(seemingly) Miata is a blast, but damned if I didn't wish it had 400whp every time I step on the pedal. All this talk of "real aero" is amusing too...

If you had a vented hood, more heat would come out and it would run cooler.
LoL! I love this guy... Also all this talk of "Aero" is hilarious since it's all crooked and loosly mounted, who knows what the aerodynamic advatage might be.

I like that red FC, if you can look past the obvius rough edges, it looks sweet. If you can't, you still have to admitt it's pretty kewl. But it seems most people take themselves and others to seriously.

*woosh*

^ the sound of the point of that comment flying right over your(and others) head(s).

I believe the point was that no matter how much power you have sitting in your garage, it's just sitting in your garage. IMHO, spending so much time and money on a car that sees summer weekend duty is a big waste. But, there are guys that dump a lot of money into drift cars only to trailer them to events, which I also think is a silly waste. but I digress, the point wasn't that 400hp was boring, not at all.
who knows what the aerodynamic advatage might be.
the advantage is it looks cool.

whatever floats your boat.

so you have to drive your car every single day, and drag body parts around- otherwise you aint cool?

I should drive a convertible when its 20 degrees and snowing and ice out, or drive it when its downpouring out, because thats alot of fun as well. Even better- when they salt the roads- thats a good time to take the 20 year old car out for a spin.

a sub 10 second drag car- total waste because he aint driving it to the grocery store to pick up diapers?

My **** was daily driven- thats why it has 155k miles on it, but then the time came where I decided to make the car nicer so I stopped driving it every single day, then luckily about 5 years ago I was able to get it indoors, but not really a garage, more like a dirt floored shed.
Now I moved up, it sits in a blacktop based portable shelter and lives a good , boring, dull life being subjected to pleasure driving only.

BTW it seems the OP fooled us, he is in the drift scene and is just playing dumb with us- well he got me, lol

he never fooled you, he just never told you who he was.

you guys definitely are blowing this "400 hp boring" topic out of wack. either way, congrats on having a fast vert that knows how to keep itself entertained most of the time.

all things considered, if he didnt decide to tighten up his aero, and put in the moldings and blinkers and ftp... this is still 300% cleaner than the majority of the haggard projects found on this site.

If you drive sideways with your tires smoking I"ll assume you couldn't afford tires with decent traction.

Drifting looks cool, my friend drifts. Building a car that doesn't competitively drift (that pair of words still strikes me as strange...) that looks like it does is... dumb. Rice by the original definition.

The car in this thread may well be used competitively, I don't know. The concept that a beat to hell FC is the best around seems idiotic to me. Does it appeal to a certain sect of the community, sure? Does that make it the epitome of FC design? Not even close. There's no reason you can't drift a car and have it not look like a **** box. It's called money, apply some.
