interested in seeing a shaved front bumper completed also, mainly because i already have LED amber markers in my FTPs.

i do think it would look better with a more pointy nose like the mazdaspeed8 front ends for the RX8, which incidentally would go better with the series 5 factory front end openings better.

I wired my fender ambers in with the turn signal so they blink too with the front markers.

okay yes I was bored.

Before I completly went thru with this idea I wanted to get a good idea. I havent sren anyone shave the front turn signals and thought I would share it. I hate the 80s square turn signals on everything and definatly wanted something unique without taking away from the car. I also tinted the rear of the flash to pass so mounting is not seen.

I got a lot more...I plan on modding my tails and currently fiberglassing my own wing.

I wouldn't mind shaving the molding lines on my bodykit but keep the turn signals.

You gonna shave the whole car? just please don't mold the bumpers/fenders together. lol

My car when I bought it didnt have the side moldings so thats when I decided to take them out of the front and rear bumpers and once I started that I started figuring out turn signal things. Front and rear has no trim, shaved. Its a very clean look. I would have to get it out of storage for all that. Like I said earlier I hate the whole 80s box thimg amd when my sister first seen my car she thought it was a 96. These cars have a buetiful shape to them and Im looking to modernize the car a little more.

Ftp are still functional and I shaved with fiberglass. I cut the mid section out and fiberglassed the top and bottom together

i agree with rob, this will not age well..

stock bumper is not fiberglass, so this will start working over time

are there amber signals in the FTP's now?
If so,wouldn't it be hard to see the flashing amber lights when the lights are on?(at night)
Unless you blacked out the back of the FTP's.

No I have transparent paint on the back side so its a little darker but the ftp still work. I still have the flip up headlights so it would be hard to see at night due to the headlight being above the turn signal. I cant wait to see it together either with the car. Aftet im done with all the body mods Ill post another thread. Ive been trying to get someone to photoshop this or see if anyones done it untill I drew it up a few times and just decided to go for it.

I think it's an interesting idea, I'm eager to see how it turns out.

I've considered making some fixed headlights and moving the turn signals. If I did that I'd shave the drivers side turn signal, and turn the passenger side into an intake duct for a custom air box. That would only work with fixed headlights though, as the retraction assembly would get in the way of the duct.

If I were you I would use the holes for your brakes and just split them. Thats what I was going to do before I went with my tunnel ram set up...yeah mines swapped
