NC Turbo II barn find!

So I found an red '87 turbo II that had recently been sitting for 20 years with 81k miles, mint grey cloth interior and a few mods (autopower roll bar, old school hks turbo timer and 3 piece german wheels of some sort?) The rear rotor has low compression and my question is (in your own opinion not to start a bashing thread) should I put the engine and all back to factory keeping all the vacuum lines and everything or do tasteful modifications? The engine is out and I'm ready to start my build thread just wanted to know what would make the car most valuable in your opinion. Thanks yall!

I'd focus more on what you're intentions are with the car. Personally, if it already has a rollbar in it, I'd continue to do some modifications to make the car what I'd want it to be. It's not going to be a collectors car with a roll bar installed.

Link to the build thread would be nice. I say you keep it exactly the way it is, provided it's in fair condition, and wait for **** to break, slowly replacing stuff as you need to. Lol

I'm getting pics and everything tomorrow and will be posting it up asap with a link. The body is in EXTREMELY good condition and all I really plan on doing is weekend driving it for the most part to keep miles off of it. But who knows later on down the road I might get antsy and throw some real boost to it.

I believe everyone has a different definition of a CLEAN car. Of course a completely stripped chassis with a monster 20b would be a dream come true but at the same time would be a nightmare to drive on the street. A lightly modded engine with everything electrical running FLAWLESSLY. Everything down to the rear windshield spray nozzle if it has it.

Your car will never attain "collector" status and the money dowry that entails, what makes a FC valuable is if it all works and is legal.

valuable to you or valuable to sell? 82K miles is no big deal looking like a new car is. To me.

So do you want to make money? Not much to be made. You could sell the mint seats and whatever else is mint for a higher than normal price. Or do ALL of the work to bring it back to newish and sell it for 6 or 7K That's optimistic
