Unhappy Tooshort_88's V-mount build is done!

I just finished s4 T2 hybrid/V-mount build/Fd uim and throttle body on my s4 t2 and thot i wud share ....

This build is not for the newbs.. Lots custom fab work to make this all work, but well worth it. Its not 100% done because i will be sending lim, uim.tb,piping ect to hav em powder coated.

She did suffer some scraches/chips during this build...

in the last picture you posted are you keeping those couplers or are you going to fab some pipes?

BTW I never understood the whole "take a picture with the camera sideways" nonsense, try to take it straight and center the focus of attention in the frame as best you can.

That bears an uncanny resemblance to my setup I just finished a bit ago:

Looks just about the same cept I kept the stock radiator for now. I see what they did for the upper radiator pipe, looks functional. The intercooler core looks the same anyways. I also went with a different style hood but the setups are so similar.

What are your plans for duct work to control the air flow? I'm making some out of sheet steel and foam rubber crap.

What turbo are you running?

Where's your e-fan?

My pics suck *** and are in no way in any good order...
My E-fan isnt shown in the pics, but it fit with 1inch of the main pulley.

I made my ducting out of aluminum so i would not have to worry about rust and weight. The intercooler sits about 1 inch above the ducting, i have yet to seal it off with foam ect..

I just wanted to get her running... She is far from done. next week i will start the tear down and have everything painted ect...

stock s5 turbo/Rtek 1.8(4) 720cc, 255lph pump, CS DP 3" turboback/stage 2 oiling mod/AFC NEO/lc1-wideband xd guage.

Thats it for now.. I wish i would of put the money i put into my vo, towards a bigger turbo and fuel for my 7.

Yeah but you need to duct the sides of the radiator and intercooler so the air actually flows through them and not around. What did you do about the oil fill neck? I don't see it it your pics? I had to cut and reweld mine shorter to clear the Compression tube and TB.

I know the feeling of having to split funds between two cars, and the Volvos are so fun to mod too, I was looking at the TD04HL-19T in the near future for my S60.

Keep up the good work man.

The hardest part was that i had no help and trying to mock up and hold the radiator by your self is a pain! had to see how i was gonna fab up some brackets..

My E-fan (s70 fan) was a bitch to hold up to the rad and figure out how i was gonna mount it.

I jacked her up from the front only, tossed jack stands under there. I was surprised how easy i actually could of went with a huge fmic, but by then i allready had the small V-mount and didnt want the turbo lag. Oh well it turned out great.

That, and your huge FMIC would have been blocking your rad and oil cooler.
Make some ducting with this setup and you should be happy.
Not really impressed on the mounting/brackets but its hard when you have to do all the mocking yourself...been there, done that, mine is more shitty looking though haha
good work!
