Thought you guys might like this
I applied to the Concours d' Elegance car show in Cincinnati with my low mileage FD and 10th AE. I got the invitation in the mail today and I was very excited. I assumed both cars made it in but they only chose one for this pristigious car show. Can you guess which one? That's right the FC was chosen over the FD. Both cars are pristine but the panel picked the 10th AE.
There was only 7 or 8 Asian cars picked to be in this event. This is the second year there is an Asian group. From what I read, last year there was an FB entered. There will be some phenomnal cars at this show and I will put up the pics in June. The show is June 13th & 14th. I am very excited.

The Featured Marque this year is Excellence in German Design and Engineering. That should be cool. The show is at Ault Park which is very nice.

Thanks guys. it will be cool. I'm already a freak about keeping cars clean and I've never had a car in a show, definitly not one like this. I'll be a wackjob over this. In a good way.
The cars are judged not 100% on their condition like other shows but on things like color scheme, historical significance, design, stuff like that. There will be an NSX, a 240Z, I think the first Honda 200, a Toyota 2000GT. I think I got those last two right. Anyway the competition doesn't seem that tuff but they seemed excited about the Honda. Can you believe that? I guess the historical relevance means more. I would think a sports car with a Wankel engine would be more historical just because there's no pistons. i dunno, maybe I'm bias.

Your vert wheels? Are the wheels messed up? Buff em down and paint em.lol
As good as Grace looks I have enough work to do on her beleive it or not. The engine bay looks great to me but i'll have to detail it for the show. That will be the biggest thing. The body and interior are so awesome that a good coat of NXT on the paint will be all it needs. I'll just clean the interior a little and she'll be good to go.

Any good tips for cleaning some dirty door panels I just picked up?

read the rules too, if you're in a judged class, they have you test all the features too

Well the Concours d' Elegance was today and my AE did us proud. She took Best of Class. Beat 3 Z cars that were perfect in my eyes. The NSX was like brand new. There was an MR2 that looked like it came off the showroom floor.
I won a crystal trophy and a blue ribbon. There looked to be 300 or more cars in the show in different catagories. Looked like there were at least 10,000 or more people at the show at one time. It was very exciting to say the least. I'll try to put up some pics of some of the class winners.
