Third brake light or not? And need some info
I really like this car a lot, I happen to have the same body kit which will be going on soon, and want to paint my vert this color at the same time. I am not sure if I want to get rid of my third brake light or not and was hoping that I could hear your thoughts on what looks best. And the other thing is I have no idea what color this car is, anyone know? I don't know the paint code or if it is a factory color on some other kind of car. Does any one know who's car it is? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks,
and a pic of my vert with the old stock wheels

well unless your car is a 87 or later, it is against federal law not to have a 3rd brake light. If you have a 87 or later, you might as well be asking if you can drive with one headlight.
The 1986 was the only year FC that the feds didn't require a 3rd high mounted brake light.
Then toss in that the third brake light has resulted in 1/3 less rear ending accidents...

you could try to source a clear lense or try to see if rrtec will do em.

Dude thats totally up to your own taste of your car. But you could try this at Autozone or most any automotive store that sales cheap ricer or hotrod stuff you can find this little LED license plate replacement its bar style and 1 or even 2 would fit stacked into the rear third brake light. Because there LED they don't net much power so you can run them both of the stock power wire for that light and with the clear lens like HYPERTEK was saying that would look great.

or, what im doing is shaving the deck of anything besides my tail lights and licence plate, then running 2 LED bars in a custom bezel in the top of the rear hatch, brighter, and at eye level (more or less) with normal cars.
anything lowered needs to have the third brakelight almost on top of the car imho.
people around here ******* suck at driving, with their 7 series bmw's, mercedes, lambos, ferraris, youde think they could drive................
