it's called bait n switch.

problem with stuff on ebay is alot of it is outright lies, i'm sure many of you have seen Greddy products on ebay which were obviously not made by Greddy or endorsed by them. there is quite a bit of literal false advertising out there if you're not careful, because who's gonna stop it? not the government of either country, law enforcement has it's hands full and ebay isn't because it makes it's money off of the sellers. the upside is most of the time the deals are exceptional enough that people don't care if they are getting an original product or not, then there is the people who straight get ripped off and buy a Garrett turbo that is made in china but paid full list price for the Garrett(not me, i would never buy a name brand turbo off ebay unless it had well documentation and i have).
Ebay can sometimes lose big in selling fakes too. Louis Vuitton won a huge 64 million doller lawsuit which Ebay had to pay for selling fake LV.

WTF? These wheels look like ****, I don't care if they were name brand or knock offs. If you like them buy them if you don't then get something different. Just because a wheel is some big name brand doesn't make them better looking than others. As far as people running knock offs, so what it's thier damn car! People being so damn judgemental of another man's car, why? Personally I would sport the stang reps on my NA, I have seen them in person & they looked fine to me.

Any other proper 1 piece forged or even higher end cast (Enkei/Advan MAT) is MUCH lighter than that. You apparently have 0 clue what you are talking about, so please stop while you are behind.
Only specs I found yesterday said they were on average 25lbs. I did some more searching today and found specs similar to what you posted so you may be right. You think the manufacture would post it on their website. Anyways I retract my statement about the weight.

How come you can't answer this question I asked before? Seems you were quick to attack my car, but you can't answer this?

What are you trying to compensate for by acting like an ignorant douchebag all the time?

I honestly thing you do not even know why, amirite?

It did. I missed the storm.

Anyway i'll repost my argument (couldn't you have just edited out stuff instead of deleting the good parts? Damn son.)

Holset turbos.

Someone out in china knocked off their logo, their box, everything. Nowhere near holset quality. It's WRONG. Plain and simple.

These arent ssr wheels. Why are they being sold with ssr centercaps and logos?

Wrong. If you can't see the morality in that, i really dont know what to tell you.

I'm rolling around on battles and before that i had xxr 002's. I never tried to play my wheels off as being jdm cst's or my xxr's being 3 piece panasports.... The sellers also do not advertise their wheels as replicas using cst boyz centers or panasport centers.

It's not about the wheel. It's shady selling tactics and to me, it IS stealing from the company using their name on your wheels that dont hold a candle to the og's....

I'm done here. You can chew on that and argue til the end of time. THose of you defending this company, more power to ya. I'm aware it's "just a car" and those are "just wheels" It's a moral issue and SHOULD BE a legal issue. I'd sue the dogshit out of this company if i wasn't getting a cut for them using my name on their peasant ****. I can't afford ssr's atm but i'm damn sure not going to fake the funk with stickers and centercaps.... That's like bolting a plastic supercharger to your hood.

I think it is because half the thread got deleted and people realized how stupid the arguments were that got deleted, sometimes you get caught up in the moment, lol

Well put. Besides the original company, it hurts the guys who appreciate the quality stuff and value them as exotic parts. Some people don't see or appreciate that.

Don't take this the wrong way, but really your problem is with chinese people.

They have no sense of copyright laws or copyright infringement over there. They flat out don't care.

Anyone from toronto knows you go to pacific mall to get stuff for cheap

Mackin Industries, the distributor for volk etc, is taking this seriously.

Thanks to Mackin Industries for making this step in the right direction. We all know that the industry is falling due to the fact of copies and grey market sales. Do people not see that they are going to lose the ones that made this industry possible? Do you not see that companies will die just because you support these knock off brands. We are sick and tired of all the distributors and manufactures that dont care and that they need to do something about it or else they will be gone as well!!!! We at Autofashion Salute all the people at Mackin for putting this letter out and telling it how it is. STOP THE COPY!!!

My opinion, most people don't even notice wheels. Let alone they 0.07% of America that could even tell the difference between real SSRs and knock offs. Build your car for yourself, and when you have the real thing and get to look at it everyday, isn't that all that matters? And if you're satisfied with the look and drive of these ugly *** wheels, good for you (you probably don't know better) but I could care less. Rock em, less people rollin around with the real things. Less people in the world with my parts, the happier it makes me.
