Smog question
So I just got back from the smog shop trying to smog my 1991 Rx7 NA.
It passed all of the emissions but failed the "timing" part because the guys at the shop told me that my "harmonic balancer" pulley had 4 white marks on it and they couldn't measure it. They told me to return when i get a new pulley that displays a red/yellow mark on the pulleys so they can properly test it. I took it to another smog shop to get another opinion and was told the same thing. Everything passed minus that one detail. Now my question is, which pulley is the one that they are referring to and is there a write up on how to disassemble and reassemble? (btw new to rotaries)
Thanks in advance
Sorry if mod can move this to technical section

seriously? just beg/borrow a timing light, look to see what marks the engine is timed to, paint one red and the other yellow and go back.
kind of sounds like you have this Aluminum Main Pulley - Double Sheave for 74-92 Rotary Engines (All) - Racing Beat

How would I know which one to mark? And after looking at that, it looks exactly the same so it must be it, thanks for pointing that out to me. Since theres 4 marks, i wouldn't know which one to mark red or yellow. sorry I'm a noob at this and never timed my car. I can take it to one of my buddies who can time it for me but I'm not sure what I should tell him to do.
