I would go with an ebay one, but what if you needed to replace the bushings after a few years?

I didn't realize they were so cheap. Disposable shifters!

yeah i know about the rattle...its hit and miss sometimes. i had one in my FB that rattled a tiny bit, didnt even really notice it. Then one in my first FC and it was perfect, no noise or anything. Only reason i have an expensive one now is it came with my new FC. And yeah, i only paid $15 for both my miata ones so you can't go wrong with that.

For the price difference, mazdatrix is a complete waste of money! The miata short shifter does just fine, and i couldn't justify spending anymore on a "shifter".

When you say the "Miata short shifter" do you mean any short shifter meant for a Miata or is it the stock Miata one? And I am going to assume its the NA generation Miata we are referring to, correct?

I like my mazdatrix shifter but can't stand the rattle. I may just make a bushing at work to fix this.
