series 5 mirrors

hey guys, sounds like a dumb question, but, are the factory mirrors on the u.s. cars the aero type ones, with the hole in them? being in australia, they were not an option on our local vehicles. the jdm ones are the same as aus spec ones, only the fold back.
the only pics i can find are on u.s. cars, so i can only guess that you got different mirrors.

I'd rather have the fold in ones, I find those more smooth, feels like they fit the car more, even tho those above are more "sporty" in their own way.

I've actually had an aussie set on there, followed by a jdm set, (the fold back ones) only to have both break within 3 years. seems the fold back bit doesn't like aussie summers. (we've just had a week of 106ish temps) so i thought I might try something different. as to why mazdatrix, they have new ones for $180 each, lets just say I could buy 3 for each side compared to the prices mazda australia ask for parts!! $1100 for a front lip for example!!

I have them. S5 non-aero look much better in my opinion. Who the **** decided to design a mirror with a hole in it?

Mirrors are one of the biggest contributors to drag, so the Cd was probably reduced enough to warrant the design.

They are rare in Norway as well, but loads of people have started swapping to them. I think only the fold-in ones came here originally, but my S4 is a stock USDM car.
