WI Selling, but don't know a good price...

Hi all, new to the forum and looking for some help. I own a 1987 RX-7 that I am looking to sell, but I am looking for help on a fair price point. I don't want to rip anyone off and don't want to get ripped off. It runs great and has a clean title (I do have the carfax to back that up!).

Here are some quick points:

History:

-2nd owner (first owner was a family member of mine)

-Always garaged and has never seen a winter snow

Engine:

-13b rotary (48,911 original miles)

Highlights:

-Air brushed custom paint job

-Neon under glow (only front and rear bulbs operational) - this is rigged to a manual switch

-Custom rims (car also comes with original wheels)

-Everything else is original!

Recent Maintenance:

-2020- replaced all engine belts, replaced front passenger side wheel bearing, coolant flush.

-2019 - replaced fuel pump

-2017 - replaced clutch cylinders Master and

Needs work/issues:

-Due to lack of use in winter the car does not have heat, A/C works tho!

- last check up mechanic stated the left front wheel bearing may need replacing eventually

- interior is clean except for one small tear in driver seat's upholstery

I just don't know the market for this kind of car and with what has been done with it so far. I know this is a bit of a loaded question but I would really like some suggestions, help, or offers if you are interested! I can also add more pics if needed.

Overall, it's very clean. And being in the Midwest ups the value as FC's are relatively rare, rusted to the ground, and usually beat to crap. That said, the air brushed paint job and wheels will detract from the value of the car, as it definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea (paint/body work is expensive).

This is a difficult car to gauge due to the custom paint. If it didn't have that paint job, I'd say it could sell for 4-6k.

For reference, I paid 4k for my 60,000 original mile S4 NA in Minnesota (albeit years ago).

It's beautifully kept but the going for s4 NA's doesnt seem to be above 7k. Maybe the value will go up more in a few years

Not trying to offend, but I think you'll find your going to have a hard time selling with that paint job, underglow and chrome wheels. That 2005 "sex spec" style is very outdated, I'd try to sell the aftermarket wheels seperately honestly, I don't think many people looking for an RX-7 would consider them an asset. I think you could ask $4000 considering it's relatively in good shape and has lower miles. If you have not done the airbrushed paint job, I'd say you could have gotten more.
