And if we were doing stock for stock I would take an S4 over S5. Stock clutch type LSD over a vicious any day. If you know anything about drifting then you should understand that.

I agree that the S5 body looks better, however.

Obviously you don't own the Drifter Bible. Tshuchia-san said it himself.

The S4 was practically made in the stone age! Look at the Skyline GTR R34 nismo Type-R, not only is it the fastest car in the world, but its the most technologically advanced.

I'm 5'4" so it doesn't bother me too muych, but having to do it for everyone who gets in my car is annoying. I'm just waiting for a set of manual S4 ones. But something you have to do everytime you get in a car is noticeable.

Still, S5 all the way!!!! Even tho I got a S4 LSD in my car

So, please don't take this post personal but...are your passengers retarded? Do you open the door for them as well? Anyone that sets foot in an older highly modified car will realize that its different than most cars they're used to riding in. If you have even a marginally lower than average IQ you can look at the male end of the seatbelt and realize that it probably has a buckle to secure it on the other side. As for the driver, at least with the TII seats you can lift the seatbelt up and slide it over the passenger side (of the driver's seat) bolster to exit the car and reverse when entering. When driving fast or in a populated area with a high probability of accidents you can put on the lap belt for safety.

I don't think theres anything "pure" about a 20:1 manual steering rack, or 5 inch wide tires. A lot of the FC's don't have ABS, and most of the weight on the newer models can be reduced if you don't want the luxuries.

What? He said that a vicious is better than a clutch type? I highly doubt that.

Yeah, I own the DVD. I've probably seen it over 50 times.

I can vouch.

I'm practically a pro drifter.

Probably! It makes sense to me, they get in and are like "where is your seatbelt?!?" I'm like behind the seat, just grab it and pull it over your head like this, then show them. Which usually follows with them looking at me like this.....

so i just grab it and pull it over. Then to make it worse when they get out they always unclick it or put it behind them but not behind the seat. I swear the world is retarded!!!!

Watch the dvd again, he says at 52:10 that "an LSD that needs a overhaul feel like a viscous LSD... and it ruins the fun of drifting..." Clearly thats exactly what you want.

And if you're practically pro, lets see your car. Lets see some videos. Just cause you've watched the video 1000 times doesnt mean anything until you can get out on the track and slide it.

EDIT Here's the Drift Bible online. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ient=firefox-a go to 52:10.

stylEmon 07-31-09 04:21 PM

I hope we aren't all basing our opinions on Drifting and Initial D guys... Seriously.

I am going to take an automotive design stand here. The S5 has a nicer front bumper. Looks much nicer than the S4 by a long shot.

But the S5 tails DO NOT match the style of the FC AT ALL. From a design stand point, the circle tails fit into a more rectangular lens don't look good at all. Looks cheap.

Also, the more rounded aero mirrors don't match the sharper lined, squared design of the FC. Those S5 aeros have ALWAYS bugged me... The S4 mirrors fit the lines of the FC very well.

Renton 07-31-09 04:23 PM

I don't need to watch it online, I've got it memorized.

I can't take my car out on the track untill I'm 18, but I know I'm already a better drifter than you! I got a natural feel for it.

I bet you haven't even seen Initial D. Go watch it and you'll understand. Best anime ever (besides Futurama).

I'm sure you do.

Ok, then lets see your car. Please show me your drift machine.

Nope, I actually go to a track and slide my car. Occasionally in a parking lot at night but never on the streets. Need proof?

Well, technically this is my car. My grandma gave it to me. Its a 5 speed and pretty quick (probably FC3sT quick)

Attachment 709819

The FC3S is still under my dad's name untill I pay him for it. But he said if I get a job he'll let me drive it, so it's practically mine.

I can get the Honda sideways in the rain most of the time.

I'm thinking about an Ls1 swap in the FC3S so I can daily drive it and not worry about throwing an apex seal, and keep the honda as a track car.

unren 07-31-09 05:42 PM

woah edit much renton? do you own the 4 speed auto mitsu or that 5 speed honda

Renton 07-31-09 05:43 PM

both, but like I said, the honda may be a future track car. K!NCH wanted proof.

unren 07-31-09 05:47 PM

those old accords are pretty funny. i remember my friend had one his gma gave to him. we put a coffee can on the muffler and installed a bunch of strobe lights, it was fuckin hilarious. till someone moltoved the poor honda. then we beat it up with sledges and bats

K!NCH 07-31-09 05:48 PM

FWD drifting is not drifting, it's pulling the break and ass dragging the end of the car. You can't transition to another drift so it's not drifting. Some people will say differently but that's there own thing. And if you want and LS1 buy a vette or a 240 and swap it. Don't ruin a perfectly good Rx7.

:/

I do it for fun, not trying to be cool.

jake1191 07-31-09 05:49 PM

Wow i can get sideways on a lawnmower in the rain too but that doesnt make me a drifter. Although i can say i have drag raced a mini van before but that was because my fc had a blown trans

Thanks, breh. Imma become the next Tak Fujwhara.

Battle Cat 07-31-09 06:25 PM

FUCKING NEWBS!!!!!!! plain and simple..........

go back to Zilvia with all your dorifto skillz you phags...

both series of the FC's are fucking great,

s4 has an oldschool look because of the 2-tone of it..

s5 have a more modern look and feel.

both are great in there own way.

i hate that most of you butcher your cars by swapping lights, bumpers etc...

but what ever its your car.. fucking newbs.

and to clear a point, "drifting" in the rain, parking lots, auto x course(cones) and stuff like that is not drifting... sliding around is one thing(which most do) and drifting is another(which most dont do at all).,......

go touge drift a mountain(put your skills to the test) or go to an actual track and prove it., not just sliding, but holding it.

Renton 07-31-09 06:42 PM
