Has anyone seen this intake manifold before?
I believe its a one off custom piece, but not sure.
It looks like it has a older hks bov.

Got this intake manifold,s4 t2 motor, & big turbo that produced 450hp.
All coming out of a sandrail.
I just never seen this anywhere.

Looks like J9fd3s is correct... Giant surprise. It's the cartech FB GSL-SE manifold. Decided to dig through some old documentation and lookey what I found!

Hmmm that's crazy. I has a four port lower manifold. But the top looks identical.
Oh yeah it also has duel throttle bodies.
Thank.
Could you send me the description or the article on this.
?
I've heard of cartech but it looks like a old school thing.
Thanks.

Sure, I can take a some more pictures. They also made an FC water/air intercooler, but it looks totally different. So I'd guess the lower half is custom fabbed for the 4-port flange. Cartech's car's were reviewed in Turbo magazine, so they were legit. Doesn't look like many of their kits are still around, though.

Yes it has duel throttle bodies and a custom bottom 4 port mani.
The guy I bought the setup off of had it in a 88,000 dollar rail and it was in a sandrail magazine.
He was pushing 450hp on racing fuel for 9 years, he said.
He also said the motor was built by redline. Which it does have the oil filler cap with redline engraved into it.

i have a magazine that has a 79 Rx7 with a cartech dual 48IDA intake, its like yours but with TWO throttle bodies instead of 1.

pretty badass to be making 450hp with a 13B in 1989!

I thought mine was duel throttle bodies, look in pic 2.
The bottom manifold runners look like the one in the Yahoo link.
It has what I believe to be a hks blow of valve...

yes i would have come new with a weber IDA/IDF. the HKS valve might have come with it, or it might have been added later, HKS was around in the 80's....

AZ mani

Thanks, I thought so myself for a phoenix craigslist ad!
Kind of why I posted it on here, plus i also was wanting to know who made the upper manifold (cartech).

It also was pushing a t04b-t66 garrette turbo with this intake setup.
He claimed 450hp with magazines to prove it.

Cant wait to see what I can produce with this setup, also came with haltec f9 Ecu, plus harness w/gm connectors so i can tune it all,
full msd ignition, all the aluminum was polished, it has RB pulleys, nice, clean, perfect port job on irons and they machined two extra dowell pins around the landings, hks electronic boost controller, tial wg, plus some other stuff I'm sure I'm missing.
All for $700.00 bones.
Has one bad housing out off it all.
