Depends on how much of a douche the cops wanna be. It is definitely illegal to have obstructions on the windshield like that around here. I've had douchebag burb cops tell me they could write tickets to people with air fresheners, CDs, fuzzy dice etc. hanging from their rear view mirror, they've also told me they could write a ticket for your radar detector obstructing your view too!. Driving around with stickers like that in some of the burbs here will get you hassled for sure if they see it, because they don't have **** else to do. Seen it happen. Chicago cops have far more important things to worry about though. You know like murders and real crime.
I don't want to jinx anything, but I've had the most insane luck with police this summer. I roll by cops every night on my way home from work and stuff, and don't have any problems. I think it's because I have a very quiet muffler this year.
