I bought my 10 AE in ruff shape in need of a paint job. i really don't like white rx7 too much but painting a 10 AE a different color is like changing the color on a grand national.

If you don't paint it white, it won't be a 10AE anymore for most intents and purposes.
Besides, unless you completely strip the car down to it's shell and paint the entire inside and outside, drastic change of color always looks ghetto IMO.
Common occurance, you see a nice CYM FD and then they open the hood to a red engine bay. Same as when I see a pretty girl, then she pulls out a cigarette and lights it up. It just impression kills the hard work that had been invested to make that impression.

I seen painted AEs on craigslist and instantly think how bad it is (engine bay pics reveal white while the body is blue etc)
A nice clean white paint job will grow on you, just seeing the car with nice paint will be satisfying enough . I don't think you will be disappointed.
