Random airbag light?
Random airbag light?
So on my way to work today my airbag light keep poping on and off. It did not stay on, just real random flashes every now and then. Anyone know what could be up?
And to add to the problem on my way home my volt meter started dropping off at red lights and I had to hit the throttle before for my motor died. When I got back to the garage I went to put my top up and guess what... yes thats right my top would not move. I love her but she is killing me right now.

This is definitely a technical question.
I don't know about the airbag but it sounds like your alternator might be going out so its not charging your battery. Take the alternator off and have it tested at your local Autozone. Thanks to our lovely rotaries, taking off the alternator only takes 5 minutes. If you get your alternator at Autozone it comes with a lifetime warranty which I've found useful since I replaced my fourth alternator in five years yesterday.

Do a search for blinking airbag light. There was a thread on that subject not that long ago. But in short, you have faulty connection(s) somewhere between the brain above your left foot under the dash and the front air bag sensor.
The only thing is the alternator is less then a year old... but that might be a good thing but I cant remember if schucks had that same lifetime warranty, they are bolth run by O'reilly right?
I hate ECU work but most of all I hate electric problems. I am the rotard that good a good rotary and is stuck with bad electric I would much rather just have a poped rotor... god i hate electric sytems.

Could it a bad battery connection or just a old battery? Cuz when I think about it the alternator has really has less then 2000 mils on it... I just find it unlikely that the alternator would go out so fast... So I am guessing that the airbag light is poor connection of the battery or the battery cant hold the charge is used to.
Thanks guy sorry it took me so long com has been down.
