eh.
I dont like how you shaved the mouldings and you could use some wider wheels
but looks like a lot of work.
props

This is what the car started off life looking like... The black car is the donor car and the grey one is the one being built. The black car is a 88 turbo with a blown motor and severly rusted out body. The grey one is a 88 GXL which has been my car since i was 15 (was my first RX7) The GXL was entirely stripped out and missing alot of parts as it was used for a parts car for a few years and then i finally decided to get it running again.

I found a cheap bodykit off ebay ( i planned on eliminating the trim so i didnt want to hack a nice bodykit) and started attaching it to the car. It was my very first body kit and it fit like *** so there were some hard times.

I didnt want the car to not match so i painted the whole thing in white primer so it would look better. One of these days i will eventually get a real paint job! I ordered a J-Spec Engine and threw it in there, everything but what was absolutely needed was stripped off. There were a few bolt on mods but not much, i eventually put on a Blitz SBC - color and Greddy Emanage Ultimate.

Turned my focus toward the interior because i was driving the car and it loked like crap inside! First i made a center piece from fiberglass to hold my stero so i could have some tunes to listen to, Next i made a piece to hold the gauges because the zip ties just werent working so well. I also did a few other things like wiring my window switches to the middle instead of the doors and putting door poppers in.

Here a just a few pics of when i was done, a few more things have been dont to it since these pics (FTP lenses and turnsignals) but not much. The car sat for 7 months while i was away in Iraq and since ive been back all ive done is throw a wideband Zietronix on it. Wish i could do more but there just never seems to be enough time.

I ended up buying a 1990 Turbo II for $700. It was just a body missing the engine and tranny So far i havent dont much with it except clean it up a little. When i pulled off the sideskirts i noticed some horrible bodywork, so thats gonna have to be fixed. The car had cracked S5 taillights and S4 mirriors so i sold them and have bought some RE mirrors for the car. Also got rid of the ugly *** chrome rims it had on it, turned out some guy driving by with a Mazda 3 loved them and wanted to trade. The car is a work in progress and im slowly getting the parts to get it up and running. The dream is to have a nice black on black really clean turbo II. Ill be keeping all the extras on this thing.

And finally the last addition to my family... A 1990 GTU i picked up for $1000 (i know, i know, i overpaid!) Gut didnt know what was wrong with the car, he was gonna put a V8 in it. I was looking it over and it had some horrible looking rims (although they are growing on me) and gay *** spoiler on it. i dont know what the deal is with people putting ugly *** rims on 7s! Anyways i tried to crank the thing and it was "sticking" like the rotors were getting stuck some where. I pulled everything off the block and looked into the engine through the exaust ports. all the rotor seals i could see looked fine, so i let it sit in ATF for a week! after that it spun freely. I made sure my 6pi and VDI systems were moving smoothy and put it all back togather (minus the rats nest of course) The car was running pretty decent, it even has cold air! its pretty slow though. I think my 6PI system is not working but when i find the time im gonna switch to a electric air pump. I also hat to replace the HKS intake because the old foam was rotted (the car was sitting for a few years) I used a UNI filter and cut it to fit where the okd HKS went. Also removed the gay spoiler and have a 'sport spoiler' in the mail that should cover up the old holes nicely. Bonus was that this car had a full Eibach coilover system i found out later. Originally i was hoping the motor was blown so i could throw a turbo but the car grows on me more and more everyday. I may keep it if i can find a way to get rid of my Scion TC!
