Project 7 Lemon Build: Slow, Low and Smokey

So it finally got warm out and I can finally go back to the regularly scheduled ricing. The car is an s5 gtu, body probably has over 200k on it , 70ish on the motor. Plan is to make it my full daily driver. And also start doing auto'x's and HPDE's since I've wanted to get into that for ages.

The main three issues to address were 1) the tranny would violently jump out of first, so I picked up another tranny from a friend for pennies 2) suspension, the car sat on Tokico Illuminas and with stock probably 200k springs so it looked like an off road monstaaa 3) The oil control rings are pretty shot so it smoked up high, not really an issue too much but it will be rebuilt and streetported in a month or so.

General Plan:
1. Doing all the bolt ons and tricks see how much power I can get out of an NA S5 13b without doing anything bigger than a streetport.
2. Most of the money will go into suspension, probably to be later swapped into my convertible next year when I begin my LS1 swap into there.
3. Make it look decent, fixing the dent on the drivers door.
4.....
5. Profit.

How it sat, from my understanding springs are supposed to sag as time goes by, but from what I see these didnt, in fact I could probably foot-**** that gap.

So I got an awesome deal on Ksport Kontrol Pro coilovers. I was planning to just change out the springs and keep the Tokico's since they are 5 way adjustable but in the end it was smarter to sell them and instead of using the money towards springs and new strut top mounts, I purchased coilovers.

Mad tight jdm orange

Pushing the rear up to attach it to the hub, that didnt really work out so we used a jack instead. :tard:

Tightened down the strut tops

Checkin' the fitmentzzz, twas jdm.

The Tokico's and poop springs are coming out.

The brake line was being a vag.

Got the Ksports in the front

There was too much slammiez and the only way to get the regular jack out was to use the trusty rusty scissor jack, FTL.

Profit?

My friend Yousef practicing his NOPI model gig, sexiest 350lbs of Puta, I've ever seen

Some skin action to seal the deal.

Took out the ugly S4 tail lights..

And replaced them with the right S5 tail lights.

Finished product

Ride height still needs to be adjusted, we just threw in the Ksports so I could sell the Tokico's off.
Need to purchase an adjustable rear sub-link to fix the disgusting rear camber.

After that I replaced the transmission, and also mounted up the Racing Beat Road Race Exhaust, basically a true dual setup which sounds amazing.

x 2
= Best sounding NA 7 exhaust ever, really quiet, but with a deep tone.

Oh and I got all the doo doo butta smears off the car too.

I need to get alignment done and play with the ride height, because as of now with the exhaust mounted, the car is basically on the ground.

More updates to follow including the engine being yanked rebuilt and streetported.

Nice set up you got there.

How come it seems like in every picture, your friend is down doing all the work?
