Thanks, the center caps pop in just like the Mazda ones, no adhesive required. I got them off ebay from a guy in England. Apparently, they are high quality re-pops, but I couldn't see a difference. Very well made and half the price of the originals. Polishing those wheels was a job I hope not to have to do again. Each one took about a day, a good winter project.
The lip looks fantastic. Exactly how it looked new i'm sure. Did you use High speed polishing wheel and rouge bar? I want to attempt this myself also my wheels could use it.
I did it mostly by hand with the exception of a foam polishing cone at the final stage. I started by stripping the clear coat, it's critical that you get it all off, it may take a few applications of stripper. Once the clear is off, start wet sanding. If you have a lot of corrosion, start with 320 or 400 grit, if not you can start with 800 grit. I used 400, then 800, then 1000, then 1500, and finally 2000 grit. after that I used a green scouring pad with Mothers aluminum polish, and finally the mothers polishing cone. When sanding, use plenty of soapy water. I did not strip the paint in the webbing, after polishing the lips, I taped them off and primed the webbing before paint and clear. The aluminum "looking" lock nut in the center cap is not aluminum, don't put stripper on it! Learn from my mistakes. Hope this helps. I used aluminum primer and Dupli color wheel paint for the centers.
First pic is my Advan's which were cracked so they're currently getting fixed. Then I got a pair of Work T7R's for the front and RPF1's (I hate RPF1's) for the rear. Just finished the winter rebuild and paint or wrap is coming ASAP. Just waiting on some color samples to come in.
(see pics below, not sure why they didn't attach in the same post)

Had the 90' GTU out and about this weekend. After about 12 hours of work on all four wheels I am about 90% satisfied with the BBS wheel restoration. The aircraft stripper chemical is no joke!!! It will quickly remove the clearcoat (which had failed in my case) on the wheels. Don't let it touch anything else because it will remove paint from anything.

Keep it clean! Needs new drivers floor mat. Nearly perfect interior. Before wheel restoration After removing failed clearcoat and polishing

It was quite a bit of work, and i'm nearly 100% happy with the result. Could use another round of stripping / wet sanding / polishing, but they are much better for sure. Thanks for the tips.
