And, I've been playing with the idea of a swap for 2yrs now. There's a Jdm engine spot not 5 mins from my house. Could have it in my garage whenever I wanted. Just so caught up with looking fresh. Intitially I wanted to build a autox/drift machine. So yeah...
well you succeeded on the looking fresh front! do the swap, besides the wiring and fueling headaches you won't regret it but then I guess the quest for more and more power will probably begin so if moneys available go stand alone from the get go.

cheers pontiackid. and ma7daPow3r those are some wicked shots and some wicked real purdy wheels. light?

Would a x9 +35 rpf1 up front rub on the inside (on coils etc) From what I've been reading x9 +22 will need a pull and I really don't want to pull my fenders. I don't mind rolling. The plan is 17x9 +35 infront and x9 +22 in the rear to be basically flush.

Also, Ma7daPOW3R, your car is ******* beautiful. I'm not a fan of the wheels, but the body and everything is perfect.

I would imagine no from an offset calculator I just used comparing my wheels to those specs. Mine were border line rubbing and those would have 19mm less inner clearance.but if I'm wrong someone jump in.

Well yours are 7.5 +35 and with the 25mm spacer that would be a 7.5 +10 and from the offset calculator that says 44mm LESS inner clearance, aha.

EDIT: And I just felt like an idiot. You're talking about BEFORE your had spacers. -.-

Alright, so the x9 +22 would extend 7mm further out than your current set up. Your height is basically exactly what I'd like to have and I'd run a 215/45.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I got the wheels with brand new Nitto NT555s for $500 from some guy on craigslist that was parting out his sons car. It was a punishment thing and the wheels and tires had seen maybe 500 miles. I couldn't pass it up. Once I get it completely mechanically sound, then the wheel hunt shall commence!

Mine aren't rfp1s. They're Motegi SP7s.

Thank you sir. My general modus operandi has been, "keep it original until it breaks, then uppgraayyed!". I plan on moving to an Rtek 2.1, upping all injectors to mild 720s. AEM boost controller, BNR stage something or other and to find a nice big top mount.

Ben, you are correct sir.

A 9 +35 would no doubt be about 1/2" to 1" inside the coilover spring hahaha. there's no way they'd fit. you'd need at least a 15mm spacer.

and look, a lot of people confuse ROLLING with PULLING. ROLLING is when you very softly bend the lip of the fender upwards in order to fit a more aggresive, and wide wheel. It does not damage paint, the fender, etc. NOR does it tarnish the value of the car. (99% of people wouldn't notice anyways)

A PULL is when you FLARE the fender using a baseball bat, jack handle etc. THIS is bad for the metal, and is usually irreparable.

Yup, the previous owner painstaking restored almost everything to original over the course of a few years. I recently sent the radio to factoryradioservice.com to get an aux input installed. Everything on the inside is OEM and I love it. It's like I'm hopping into the 80s. I dislike when there's newfangled tech in old cars (at least in the cockpit).

Nice. I like me some brides. There were some for sale here recently in MD on craigslist but with no rails. I should have picked them up though
