Barley, you just stand around and stroke your huge beard and talk about your 7...and tech once the roofs on and painted I'd have a 39k ae for under 3k.. 5k when I get it to where I want it for the next couple of years.

how many truly active members, and of those how many are cheap as ****, lol
no way they have tripled. This would mean TIIs selling for$15-$18k because I remember when a TII in good shape would be lucky to get $5k-$6k. Verts would be selling for $10-$12k, 10ths selling for $20k.

we aint arguing, we are discussing it.
I used to flip FCs as well, used to pick one up whenever I wanted , did a little work, and made some money on them. Now the cars are just harder to come by. Either drifted into a piece of **** or they are nice examples people are holding onto. Someone lists a TII for sale for more than $5k and it turns into everyone shitting on the guy. People link a craigslist or ebay ad for a $10k FC and the board goes wild saying how that guy is crazy.
These cars will never be worth anything to a real collector

All trueimport is saying is that the dude should've cut up an n/a chassis, rather than a t2. Only because n/a chassis are far more common than t2s. This is true.
Anywho, you've been slacking Justin. There's a sweet 10thAE here in town! It actually could use some love lol. I've been seeing it over the past three years. Just saw it a few days ago actually. I've never met the owner but I wish I could.

I personally feel other wise. Also I think you may be mistaken when it comes to a small niche group, just look at this forum alone it has over 168 thousand members / fans. That's by no means a small niche. Yes it's smaller than some other automobiles but still large enough to raise value. Hell in the past 10 years alone prices for a clean fc have almost tripled. Trends don't lie. Never the less I get your point and he did a good thing for sure by saving the AE.
You're right that tII would have ended up in the crusher.
No I'm not saying that at all and I don't know if you ment to say it the way you did or if I'm reading that correctly but an AE is by no way shape or form a base model. I've personally owned one and have seen 4 others in person. No offence but unless you ran the vins on your so filled TIIs I would wager to say no all of them were in face real TIIs given the remaining over all numbers. There are sooo many quality TII conversions out there that unless bins are checked you wouldn't even tell the difference.

And i suppose that may be true, but then again we only have a handfull of FC's around here, at least known to us. The majority of them (at least seem to be) are T2's, they out number the N/A's two to one. (From what I've seen anyways). I do know of a couple T2 swaps, and a couple Turbo N/A's, but most are genuine.
I really don't.

Just finished the rebuild 600 miles ago. Everything is how I bought it, just slapped some megan racing track coilovers on it.

I agree but what cracks me up on this forum is when people post a FS of a some what clean FC and ask around the 10k mark for it then everyone is like holy **** clean car, great price and glwsane that's just crazy to me. That's one of the reasons I based my comment on them trippling. 3k 10 years ago and 9k now seemed about right. How aboutbthis then...... I'm sure you could and will agree that they have doubled. I think you and I should revisit this topic in another 10+ years to see how its turning out and since ill be on pace for them to be gaining value I'll be the bigger man and let you buy me a beer for being wrong LOL.

Is there really? Is it actually out on the road? We need to get into contact with him!
I have never once seen the owner though. It seems that they like their solitude and don't want rotary nuts bugging them haha.
I do know where the car is often parked though lol

How about a picture with audio ? Just bought this clean fc with 80k miles on it, i think i got running good after some electrical issues, rusty brake and fuel lines. Been getting alot of hate from some domestic owners, but they just dont understand
