TX Hawaii FC vs Original Pacific aftermarket body kit

That kit on the rotaryunderground's car looks like an old Pacific Kit which I think was later sold by wings west. Here's a photo of the pacific kit.
This is a match with the Pacific kit photos, the entire 5 piece kit is a green light to me. The kit on my car has been installed since at least 1991 the owner pointed out to me but he could not recall who made it. So it is most likely not a Wings West but rather the Pacific kit because Wings West was founded in 1993. I will contact Ted @ http://fc3spro.com/ and let him know about the correct ID since he thought it was part of the kaminari kit. Thanks for helping my identify this body kit , now I can answer the question when someone asks me haha! Sweet deal to me !

As shown above in the photo of the rear of my old car, the kaminari rear spoiler does not have a pedestal in the center of the spoiler above the 3rd brake light.

Here is the pacific kit from the rear and from the front again.
Thanks for the pics man , this is a match with the Pacific kit all 5 peices ! You guys really helped out in this Sherlock Holmes case of a body kit. So lets Officially state here 100% no doubt in our minds Verified Pacific old school out of production 5 pc kit from the late 80's ! Still a rare find and from the same production time period of the FC3S , one a the few kits for sale from back in the day. Never even seen one on the road with this kit.....can't be many left anyway! This new project 1987 Turbo II from Honolulu, HI is just about a one of a kind deal ... rare none the less. And for under 1000$ for the car, I am doing back flips in my sleep. *note* Its not the sexiest body kit I have seen on a S4 FC TII but its the historical value here we are looking at today. Cheers, Josh

Its a 5 pc Pacific body kit Officially verified 100% , production in the late 80's And thanks for all the props everyone ! The car has a long way to go , looking for the 94-95 Eunos Cosmo 13B-RE/20B-REW prices are all over the charts from one JDM importer to the next, but these are the only 2 engines worth putting back into an old FC TII to me. And you might as well scoop one up for yourself before they are all gone!

You're welcome. I've been in the rotary game and owned rx7s for 27 years so, I've seen a lot of kits. The pacific kit was later marketed under the wings west name for a while IIRC. You definitely got a great deal.

I had one of the pacific glass sunroofs years ago in my old 87 turbo II with the Kaminari kit and ended up selling it back in 1994. However, I now actually have one of the Pacific Glass Sunroofs in my current project car. They are no longer available new and no longer being produced. I purchased mine on the forum a while back, and it was practically brand new in the original box with all the paperwork and hardware in the packages. The guy I bought mine from claimed it was purchased years ago and put in storage. Just keep an eye out on the forum for one for sale, they come up every once in a while. Here is a photo you can see of the glass sunroof in my project car.

Nice ride man ! I will be looking for that sunroof untill I find one. I used to have a 1989 GXL w/ blue velour cloth interior , RIP parted out due to the N/A 5 spd tail shaft exploding ruining the trans and trans tunnel and drive shaft *note to self never apply more then 250 HP to an N/A transmission" or find a TII project ! LOL

Thanks. My project is on the way to a 13B REW street ported, Borg Warner S375 turbo, Haltech Platinum 1000, ID1000 primaries, ID2000 secondaries, and hopefully lots of boost. Still got quite a way to go though. Good luck on the glass sunroof.

Have you mounted the engine yet ? If so who made the mounts for this set up ? If not , the Cosmo 13B-RE drops right in with $160 mount brackets!
