Take notice of the name, there is a carburator with an air cleaner on top of a Chevy small block so the scoop is functional. There is a carbon hood with a centered scoop ill be getting some day but I have to concentrate on other things for now like my terrible suspension and engine missfire

What failed? I love rotary parts. Lol

I've yet to have seen a rotary "blow up" like a piston engine usually does. The day I see a rotor dangling outside the housing will be the day I die from amusement and laughter.

Well my mechanic told me the cam seized and the rotor pushed an intake valve out of the head and ruined the rocker... Haha, no just kidding, no compresion in the rear rotor and not much in the front

sometimes looks should never be sacrificed for function.
you wouldn't have had that issue had you made better engine mounts.

Hey man, thanks for the compliment, car is actually filthy right now but I am getting back into it this summer and hope to spend more time on the road than under the car finally. Good to be back, lot's of great info on here as usual but lot's of trolling too these days. Good old RX7Club!!

went with the grannys speed shop kit, if i had mounted the engine lower i would have run into alot of problems like no oil pan and rigging the b&m short shifter to sit higher. if its been done i would love to see it, im always willing to learn something if you know of something better!!!

Thanks man, whenever I look at it, all I see are its flaws lol. I think the next thing I'm gonna do is fix the rust spots on the door and the wheel wells. (and finish wiping off the wax on the trim and front lip )

This is my favorite pic I took at that location.
