Post pics of your proud parts!
I was just wondering what everyone is hording out there... :D
I know a bunch of you are sitting on some rare and expensive stuff, so let's see it! (Anyone own that HKS T51R SS turbo exhaust manifold that was on eBay???) There's pics posted here and there, but I'd figure why not consolidate it so everyone can go Uuuuuuuuu and Aaaaaaaahhh in a single thread! -Ted |
Everyone has probably seen this before:
http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/pictur...eccentric1.jpg http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/pictur...eccentric2.jpg Not particularily expensive, but rather rare and unique. This isn't really a "part" per say, but it's rotary and very rare. My 1976 RX-5 Cosmo. 13B 4 port, Nikki, etc. http://www.aaroncake.net/misc/RX-5%2...ger%20Side.jpg http://www.aaroncake.net/misc/RX-5%20Interior2.jpg http://www.aaroncake.net/misc/RX-5%20Engine.jpg |

Here's my stuff:

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC03465.jpg Willing to sell the blue one??? I've got a green one myself and two green horn buttons, but I've found the blue version is harder to find of all three colors. Seen a lot of red ones, but red is not my color... -Ted |

does it actually work though?
If you're asking if it's plug-n-play...not even close. I'm going to track down the wiring diagram and see how much of it can be spliced in. Luckily, my unit came with cut plugs, so I know the wire colors. Some of the wire colors are identical, but I cannot confirm I can just splice them in. I would imagine there's a different sub-harness, as I wouldn't think Mazda would design a totally new dash harness just to use this thing. There's a nice write-up somewhere in here that goes into a little detail about how it all works. There's a temp sensor that unique to this system. This is not a priority to figure out anytime soon, but I'll work on it eventually. :) -Ted |
Never mind! :D

RETed: Sorry man, the blue is my favorite. It took me almost 4 years to track that down. I feel you on the red...its definitely not my favorite color but since I have all 3 its kinda like the complete set. I have another red one that I use to daily on my car but I'm looking to get another black one.
trueimport: I do still have them however since the RE seats are pretty much the same seat but recovered I used the mounting brackets. I have another set of Mazdaspeed mounting brackets for the FC but I think they are for the Type F seats and not the Sports Seats. |
Got this old school RE-A shift knob from 87GTR last year:
Crappy pic, haha! http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...I/IMG_0383.jpg I liked my weighted ball knob better, but this knob is just too cool to replace! |

http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger...90219/rx30.jpg I got this cool Devil's Own tank. The pump mounts on the tank, and the tank fits perfectly in the rear bin!! http://bp2.blogger.com/_AEAL2Ej4Lgw/...s400/rx185.jpg I've always liked the fact that I switched out my S4 grey interior for a S5 black. I still need some better seats and need to spray the demister vents. Before http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger...1225/rx2_3.jpg After http://bp1.blogger.com/_AEAL2Ej4Lgw/...s400/rx145.jpg |

I dont think they are rare by any means. 88' vert wheels, also have a 4 bolt spare tire that doesnt seem to have been used. Maybe once or twice. I am the 3rd owner of my car, the previous owner bought the car in 1991, the car didnt have a spare so the dealership tried to sneak in a 4 bolt spare, the owner made them aware it needed the 5 bolt pattern. they found him a 5 bolt spare and told him he could keep the 4. i also have the center cap wrench.

BBS Stern wheels, made in Japan in the 1990s. Super rare.

my 2 rarest parts,...not that rare though.
Mazdaspeed MS01 17x8, 17x9 http://www.777kb.com/vimg/mazdaspeedfelgen126.02.08.jpg and oldschool Knight Sports Boost Gauge http://pics.shadyracing.net/albums/u...ightsports.jpg |

I would actually go from a 5 lug to 4 lug, just because the wheels are cheaper. That is pretty unique there Aaron Cake.
|
That looks familiar.
I was proud of those too :D

Lately it seems that it's much easier finding really nice 4 lugs, than it is finding a decent set of 5 lugs. I've got to see what kind of wheels you've got!
Brand New Switches are pretty rare http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_2968.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_2967.jpg RE Amemiya Strut Tower Bar http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_1824.jpg FEED Strut Tower Bar http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_1862.jpg RE Amemiya Spark plug wires. (they used to be hard to get until they popped up on ebay and corksport) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_1817.jpg JDM FTPs. (It's really the only picture I have of them) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_2832.jpg JDM Bubble lenses (not rare, but hard to get) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/MVC-106S.jpg RE oil cap http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_2866.jpg Safety 21 roll bar. (not really rare, but not a whole lot of people have it.) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2/IMG_2534.jpg I've also got an old school RE Amemiya boost/vac gauge and RE Amemiya Power Aero mirrors not pictured.
