Well, the clamp and bolt are easy, just wire wheel the clamp, paint it satin black (the color of choice for all little widgets) and replace the bolt.
The hardline is more difficult and depends on whether or not you're willing to undo it...I'm guessing not.
The visible corrosion should be quickly removed with a scotchbrite pad but will return if not protected.
I'd first try wetting a rag with WD40 and wiping the hardline down, see how long that holds up.

I'll try that today. Definately don't want to mess with taking the hose off.
I washed the bay down yesterday, and will be detailing it today, so it'll be a perfect time.

Detailed the engine bay today. Looks beautiful!
I forgot to bring my ******* scotch pads, so I didnt get the chance to clean off the oxidation on the power steering lines....pics of that tommorow.
For now, NA S5 Convertible engine bay pics

Thanks Clokker.
I've seen some rx7 bays in my day, so if lightly rusted linkage is the biggest issue you can point out clokker, I'd say I am doing pretty good.
Probably won't mess with that unless I have to take the TB off again.

just paint the whole thing TB- it lasts years like that. You can take the time to tape things off I just went all one color. Guy who rebuilds carburetors for 40+ years told me not to take the TB apart to paint it and I took his advice. You can not take his advice and take it apart and hope you know how to put it back together again, lol

I don't know why but, the bare fan shroud without the intake piping tom cover the top bothers me.
Don't get me wrong, not talking trash about anyones engine bay, I am just saying...

I don't know why or how the dirt sticks and collects, but it does. The worst spots are on the fire wall where that lip is, and also the rearward section of the shock towers.
You can't get it off unless you scrub the **** out of it.
