if you're talking about the lap belts, that is an unsafe mounting location as it would have the harness mounted in such a way that it would be pulling down on you. that would do more harm than good in a crash, i.e. compact your spine.
i believe straight out is ideal, but no more angle than like 20-30°?

ahh ok. a little missing context haha.
something i was wondering about, how about making a bar that would bolt into the top mount for the front seat's seat belt?
would that be strong enough? seeing as it is using a point that is already designed to take the weight of an occupant in a crash. my only concern would be that the bar might be mounted up too high.

anyone ever try putting in an fd or rx8 interior before? i've seen a guy full modify an mk.II golf with an audi tt interior, and gawd damn it was nice

I'm going to start making a fiberglass center consel this week, just curious who all has done this and how you make supports for the parts on the rear of the consel? Such as cd player, turbo timer, etc.
