great pics guys... starting to fall in love with the car.

lawyers_spirit your car is hot... lots of custom work there.

rx7heaven, is that wing stock or aftermarket?? and where did you get that roll bar. My greatest concern about fc vert is that it really doesnt have much protection if you roll over.

Are there rollbars available for the vert to give it a more 2000 look as well as safety.
find someone to make you a roll bar, make one that like two hoops behind the headrests or something a roll bar and the bars that come down between the seat and door would also stiffen up the car a great deal

His car sure does look nice. I like the widebody. What front end is that, can't really tell from the picture.

Rollbar is from kirkracing.com
The rear wing is from Japan and has long been discontinued

Question...

Did you have to remove the wind blocker to install the rollbar?

No. I just cannot lower it anymore as there is a crossbar halfway up the hoop that yuou cannot see in the picture. You can get the hoop without the midbar if you still want to be able to lower the windblocker.
There are 4 mounting points for that hoop. Two on the floor and two about 2/3 of the way up on each side. The upper two are secured via heavy tabs welded onto the hoop that bolt into the upper seatbelt mountong position. The hoop still allows full operation of the top without having to remove the targa section.

I registered it at a friends house in South Lake Tahoe. They only have to smog their cars at change of ownership, i.e. when the car is sold.

I did recently get popped in Daly City by a cop who happened to be an ex-smog ref (so he said). Now I have a test only situation I have to deal with. I might have to buy another 2nd gen for as cheap as possible that passes smog and make a few 'minor modifications' to get it to pass with the numbers I need

More info and pics of the rol bar incuding install directions can be found here for all those that pm'd me.

http://www.fc3s.org/how_tos/safety/c...e_rollbar.html

Again, the manufacturers website:
http://www.kirkracing.com/
I didn't see any pics of their vert roll hoop, but you can call/e-mail them for info I'm sure. I know they still make them as a friend of mine just got one a few months ago.

Here's my ride..

Just got it up here from Miami and am loving it.

Just have to fix the p/w switches, and I'll drop the top.

I can't remember how much it was. Less than $200 maybe.
It's a bit more if you get it painted. They basically rattle can I believe so I opted to get mine unfinnished and had it powdercoated locally.
Contact them for more info.

Mine is soon getting an additional cm diagonal brace and door bars added to it.
The hoop 'as is' is better than nothing, but I track my car and need something a little better.
