I did my wheels black. My car is black so it looks pretty dope, but it doesn't last very long and isnt that durable.
It's really a waste of time if you ask me. Maybe on a show car that never saw the road?
I would rather wrap it in vinyl.

I did my wheels in red earlier this summer. It looked ok and was something different but it started to peel off the spokes so I took it off. It came off alright but I didn't get it thick enough in some areas because it doesn't want to come out of the little nooks in the wheels. There's still some on the fake three piece screws and in the lug nut holes that I'm too lazy/dont know how to get out... I would advise anyone who is planning on doing this to make sure not to get over spray on anything. If its thick enough to peel off its easy to remove (4-5 good coats), anything thinner is a pita to get off.

Wow that looks ******* awesome. But the red looks more of a orange hue.

I did my wheels on my daily they look awesome and its held up really well. I really can't complain about blacking out my wheels for $15.

I'd do it again in a heart beat. Actually I want to do my FC wheels in red as well.

I used 7 tubes of the straight dip and two aerosol cans on the hood! I say use the tubes and a sprayer they work the best! I used paint thinner, just a little over half and half it hides bilimishes very well, im going to do another coat later and redo the hood.. but im satisfied I didnt wanna sand off the original paint.. so this worked out great!
oh and it was $55 bucks for 7 tubes at home depot! 14 oz tubes.. so sprayer and all I got $110 in it..

Sorry to bump this. Figured id post my car and 2 cents. did mine with rattlecans and plan to redo it and my s14 with the pro kit. its durable as fuh if you let it cure. Ive hit cones and ripped of my bumper with minimal damage to the dip.

All via rattlecans. Cant wait to order the pro kit and try out that nifty lookin sprayer. Pretty sure the FC is doable with 1.5 gallons or so give or take. Was reading up on a guy who purchased the pro kit for his FD and managed to get a perfecto paintjob with that amount.

they actually get away quite a bit. I live in long beach, and i've seen plenty of people get away. **** my own dad has gotten away at least 15 times, although one time he was ripped to shreds and de-clothed under a house and as a matter of a fact, today is the day he gets out! funny coincidence.

not saying getting away is cool or anything, but it's definitely possible.

finally some pics! yeah im ripping my hood off and redoing it and putting another coat on with the rattle cans.. if u get your spray pattern right they look better than the sprayer in my opinion..

I may do this too.The body is not "good enough" to get 3k in paint.I would rather Plasti-dip and make it look better for the lower price.
