They hardly made anything in a 17" in 1986. I was just flipping through the November 1985 "Road and Track" magazine with all the details on the "new" 1986 RX-7. It's interesting to see the ads for aftermarket wheels and tires in the back and seeing how rare even a 16" was back then. You could buy brand new aftermarket BBS wheels in the 13 x 6" size for your BMW 320i or your Audi 4000 for about $100 each...

I agree the saw blades are decent looking as S4 OEM wheels go. I prefer the machined ones that became available in '88 to the earlier painted versions myself.

yeah i got the ugly gtu wheels on currently and i hate em i painted em black so i didnt have to look at them in such disgust lol

You do realize that in '88, the GTU and GXL had the exact same wheels, don't you? It says under your name you have an '88, so your car would have come with a set of the machined saw blades from the factory.
