Pic request aftermarket seats

I searched around for a little bit and couldn't find a thread already going so to the repost police that are going to flame me, please just link me to the thread that already exists.

I am trying to price out a vert FC build I have coming up (hopefully) and was wondering which seats you guys like, dislike, have fitment issues with roll cages (while wearing helmets too) and things like that. Like the title says I would like to see pics of how they look as well.

Thanks guys ,

-Mike

I know its not a vert, but I've got a Sparco Sprint JR in my FC, and I love it. Holds just right, driving position is great (a tad lower than stock, a bit harder to see the end of the hood at stop lights, but I have a good idea where it ends), only real downfall is that they don't recline, so the bolsters are quite high, and getting in and out is a tad trouble sum, but I'm a skinny guy so I manage, just slide the seat back whenever I get in or out. I just used the stock seat rails, and some 3/4" square tubing and boxed it up to give me the correct fitment. One concern is height. FC has a low roof, and racing seats are much taller than stock, even with my lower seating position, they'res really only an inch and a half from the top of the seat to the headliner, so cages can be a tight fit.

Don't have any photos of how it sits now, this photo is just a mock up on the stock rails without the extra tubing, only one side could be bolted to the floor because it's narrower. Even in this pic it's pretty close to the roof, so add another inch almost of height to it.

Nice! Good info there. It's good to see a seat that fits on the stock rails. From what I have read that has been a problem for a lot of seats.

The stock rails won't bolt up without modding them. I moved the bolt holes closer together, and I made 2 cross members out of the 3/4" square tube, bolted the seat to the cross member, and the cross member to the rail.

It's honestly not bad, I'm driving over 2 hours tomorrow for a auto x, and drift event, I'm quite looking forward to.

Pics of some JDM DC5 Recaro's I had in my convertible. Fitment was perfect, even with the roll bar.

Lol, nope. They are the best seats for the fc, not necessarily for every fc driver.

They are from a JDM Infini IV, a special edition FC sold in japan. There was only 600 Infini IV's produced I belive so the seats are rare, and expensive. I think there is a set for sale in california https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-rx-7-1986-1992-parts-194/infini-iv-seats-1001002/

Surprisingly comfy too, especially for a fixed back. However I suspect that comfort comes from the extra padding which causes them to be not the best choice for people who are too tall or too wide.

Good thing I'm 5'7 and 160lbs aha. I don't know what to expect in the price of them once I can afford or need new seats in mine. They may be harder to find in a year or two from now -.-.

I bought it off my friend and he included the side mounts, I'm just using the stock rails. My wheel is a 340mm Nardi, haven't had any problems hitting it (I'm about 5' 10"). I do some drifting and never had an issue. As far as other option, not really I got this for a really good deal. Ironically I'm considering selling it to get something a little newer/better condition.

I don't have any pictures at the moment, but I have a Sparco Rev (older style Evo) and it fits amazing with a helmet. I've had it in three cars and never had any issues with the different cage setups. I'm 6'1, my buddy is 6'2 and we both have had plenty of helmet clearance.
