No. It's not an rx7 without it's soul......omg!

And you can make good power with a rotary so why swap? You'll lose the 50/50 weight distrobution and rotary is reliable and blah blah blah....heavy *** peice of **** supra engine.....


Who cares if people have made 1000hp on stock bottom end, it's heavy and the weight distrobution of the car is ruined..... You'll never be able to tune the suspension to compensate either.


That's what i hear. I go on youtube and you have piston fanatics talking **** to rotary guys talking about "haha, your car is running fucked up because there's smoking comming from the exhaust." or "oh, you make 500hp and run 10s but for how long? My guess is next time you run you'll shoot an apex seal into your turbo" It pisses me off either way it goes. Respect eachother. It's JUST a car.

Tada! There you have kids. An RX-7 is just a car! Just like a Gremlin, or Turbo Corvette, or a Honda Civic, or a 240sx, or a Evo, or a Subaru, or a V8 Chevette... all cars.

I wasn't trying to be discouraging. Do the 1jz or 2jz or LSx or 20b, or 12a, or electric motor, or what ever you do. Just don't do it to get praise from others about the swap. If someone doesn't like your car because it's an RX-7 with a Piston motor, they don't have to.

Personally, I like keeping it rotor powered because there aren't very many wankel powered cars around besides rx-7's. I feel V8's are redneck because where I grew up, everything was v8, 302, 350, cams and headers and 4 barrel carbs, bla bla bla. The rotary engine kind of confuses people and I like that, plus it's unique in itself.

If you do the swap, please do it well. No motor sticking out the hood. Gauge's must work. The car must drive well or better/faster than it was designed to. Don't have *** it and quit halfway, wasted effort is just that; a waste.

To each their own! I say, "rotary power!"

I guess to say the least...I was more curious about that specific swap than anything. Who knows what the future holds but I wouldn't have built my FC to RE- Amemiya specs just to stuff a 1JZ in it This FC will forever be rotary...whether its a 13B, 20B, or 4 rotor...the triangles of death will continue to keep my rear wheels moving

As for my other FC... well we'll just see what goodies we have laying around at the shop
