Perfect Platform, Project 87 T2 restore/ Respekenize RRTEC edition
As some of you know I picked up a super clean example on a S4 T2 to hold my rotary cravings at bay while I save up for a FD to buy with CASH $$,$$$. This car has been well cared for and just needs a few things to make it "right". Here's the full story.
I was surfing craigslist one night recently and came accross this gem within 20 miles of my house. The price was way lower then I was anticipating so I was off to the bank to dip into the FD fund. 1 short hour later I was driving the car home, title in hand. It is a 2 (now 3) owner car that spent the majority of it's 105,000 miles tucked away in a garage. It was a doctor's car for the majority of it's mileage. It has only been driven 5,000 miles since 1997.
After bringing it home I have started to clean everything and note parts I may want to replace. So far the only things on my list are belts and tune-up items, as well as some very minor detail items. I am also replacing the clutch as it feels pretty weak.
Even though this example is VERY clean and in original shape, I am going to do a few modifications to support my personal preferences. (puts flame suit on) I am going to keep the original parts stored safely away so that they can be re-installed if and when I decide to sell it.
Modifications planned:
S5 mouldings and Front and rear bumper Replacement (painted to match the artic silver) and a set of MINT s5 tails
High quality exhaust
Aftermarket wheels (mesh probably, definetly something with a lip)
Tint on the windows
Pinstripe removal
Shine auto front lip
Racing beat spring set
Rear seat install (for my little girls)
Front carpet replacement to short pile vs ****.
That is about it I believe. The plan was to sell it when I found a FD, but I am not sure if I will be able to bring myself to do it. The car is cherry. I will continue to post pictures as I make progress. Respekenize.

F**K THE SYSTEM!!
Keep the s4 look.
You should get a 240sx front lip and have that intalled into your s4 bumper.(looks reallly nice)
S5 conversion is a nice chunk of money. Plus the paint.
Good luck, Very nice find.

I already have all the S5 conversion parts (except for the lights) so there is no cost there, plus I paint cars myself so paint wont cost much... Oh almost forgot S5 rear spoiler...
Can't reveal the purchase price.. But I will tell you that it was less then one would expect to pay for a car in this shape.
