Password JDM rear wiper delete

I know this has been asked a few times so here it is.
It will work with a mix of there supplied rubber gaskets, stock rubber gaskets, and a little modding them.
I havent tested for leaks yet but im pretty confident it wont.
I have Password JDMs "V.2" version 2 made for RSXs I think. There "V.2" is made for the hole in the glass as opposed to the version 1 made for the hole in the metal/body.

Couple years back I used a black plastic furniture leg cap from ACE hardware and sealed the backside of it with clear rtv.

Cost 75 cents and looks good!

I just used an OEM rubber undercarriage grommet from somewhere under the carpet I imagine. I had a parts car about 8 years ago that I literally took every bolt, grommet etc off of and stored them in containers. They work well for deleting antennas too.

Honestly I lucked out. I was buying bolts and saw the plug, looked to be close to the size of the rear hatch hole, took it home and it fit perfect.

I would say 7/8 ID and the outside of the plug was about 1 1/8 diameter thatt sits flush with the glass

Password "Oh ****. Now I can't see behind me in the rain!"

I did this on my hyundai tiburon and the rear wiper ended up back on. Now I have a 626 for a daily driver and not having a wiper on that seriously drives me nuts! It does look good though. Just a pain in the *** with the rain. I think every car should be required to have a rear wiper.

I wanted the rear wiper primarily for snow, not rain.
But this is all irrelevant to the thread, isn't it?

I do think that $30 to plug a hole is bit absurd, there are obviously much cheaper options available that would work just as well.
I thought their website description was pretty humorous...didn't realize that hole plug theft was such a widespread issue.

I used some RTV and a big plastic interior cap of some kind (possibly off a GM vehicle). The RTV acts like a "glue" holding the cap in place. It's been like that for 6 years.

Lol yup. My boy got it from a GM dealer where he used to work. I don't even know what they used it for.

Just to put this out there I didn't pay $30 bucks for the plug. Someone here locally sold it to me for $15. 30 is a little ridiculous. I know a random plug and some rtv of some kind would of worked and still been cheaper. This isn't a daily driver so that's why I didnt mind deleting the wiper, **** I took off the front wipers just because I think it looks cleaner. I know I wasn't beeing flamed and you guys were just adding other options of covering the wiper hole.
I'm even going to do this on my daily, I don't use the rear wiper anyway and I don't have problems seeing in the rain.

Is there a specific model or special window that doesn't even have the wiper setup at all? My 86 GXL has no wiper setup on the back window what so ever.

I got a 88 base model with no wiper .. to find out if your car had one from the factory there would be a gold box near your spare tire and a resivoir tank. If im not mistaken ive only seen it once.
